Fri, October 17 Literary Asylum 7–9:30pm

See literature come to life as the spooks, ghouls, maniacs, and murderers of fiction take

over the LSC-Atascocita Center library. Take a tour through the literary asylum and let the

specters who slither between the pages of classic works make your skin crawl in person.

Note: This event is meant to be informative but also scary! Please use discretion when

attending with children. Recommended for ages 7 and older. Due to facility limitation, no

strollers allowed. No reservations will be given, this is strictly a first-come, first-served entry.

The event ends promptly at 9:30pm.

Thu, October 30 Spooky Spelling Competition 7–9pm

Calling all ghouls! Join us for our 2nd annual Spooky Spelling Competition. Students,

faculty, and community members are invited to compete in a spelling competition featuring

Halloween-inspired vocabulary. Competitors and spectators are encouraged to come in

costume. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and winning the competition! The contest

will take place in the downstairs cafeteria,Room AC 131. Begins promptly at 7:00pm so

don’t be late!

Pet Supply Drive

With the holidays just around the corner, most of our pets are warm and cozy at home but

we sometimes forget that not all animals are as lucky. The LSC-Atascocita Library will be

collecting donations for VAP (Volunteers for Animal Protection). Items can be dropped off

at the library during normal business hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am -5:00pm; Friday

7:30am–2:30pm. The donations we are collecting include:

For dogs:Alpo, Pedigree or Purina canned food

Purina or Pedigree dry food

Milk Bones

For cats:Friskies brand canned food

Cat treats

Scoopable cat litter
