Arizona school districts and charter schools can offer beginning 2012-13 school year

Student can receive as early as end of tenth grade Can be offered to “. . . any student who

demonstrates readiness for college level mathematics and English . . . and who has passing grades on a set of required core courses as determined by the State Board of Education (SBE), including the arts, history and science, and who successfully completes a course in economics.”

• Arizona will attempt to redesign the state’s higher education system in order to: expand capacity; serve more students at lower cost; and achieve completion and degree goals*

• Initiative will engage school districts, colleges and universities and the Arizona business community

In addition to the statewide transfer system, community colleges and universities are developing individual partnerships to complement the transfer system and facilitate the state goal of increased degree completion.
