CONTEST PROCEDURES

• Transportation Policy– AAPS provides Out-of-Washtenaw, Weekday Travel.

• Transportation Forms– Private Vehicle Trans Form (Other Links)– ONLY if District Transportation Provided

Pay to Participate

• $250 + $30 Insurance Fee– Paid through Rec & Ed office @ Pioneer High or

Online.– “Team Fees” are separate– Waiver Opportunities• Free & Reduced (Through Athletic Office)• Medicare/Medicaid• Food Stamps• Rec & Ed Scholarship (Apply Online)

ADMISSION

• Passes Accepted– Family ($135.00)– Individual ($75.00)– *NEW* AA High School Students FREE with ID.– Gate Prices - $5.00 (Ypsi)

• Game Workers – Please Volunteer with your coaches. (tickets, PA, clock, stats, etc.)

APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION

• 24-Hour Rule– Post Game Confrontations are not beneficial

• Maintain Perspective– High School Sports aren’t JUST about the Wins &

Losses. • Encourage Self-Advocacy with your Athlete– Valuable life skill building opportunity.

EXPECTATIONS

• STUDENT-athletes– Maintain term GPA of 2.0 or higher– Must pass a minimum of 4/5 classes prior term

• Sportsmanship – Fans & Athletes– Loud & Appropriate!– Proper Treatment of Officials

• Code of Conduct – Included in Online Registration Form– Hard Copy Distributed at Team Meetings

EQUIPMENT & SECURITY

• 100% responsible for equipment issued to you.

• Buy a lock, USE it, and keep your combination secure.

• Don’t trade/swap items issued to YOU.• Take care of our facilities.• Clean up after use.

• Be a Role Model, Represent Well.• Every Tweet, Pic, Post, or Like is a potential

Headline – don’t embarrass yourself, your family, or your school.

• Keep your Team Spirit friendly and sportsmanlike.
