The original Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival and Competition was created in 2012 based on the warm Southern hospitality our BBQ Team experienced while attending Birmingham’s BBQ event in 2011.

We stayed up all night grilling meat alongside teams from New York to Florida. By morning, we were all best friends! We immediately knew we had to bring this experience to Atlanta!

After partnering for the first two years, the Hebrew Order of David is now in its third year as the proud presenter of the Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival. The Hebrew Order of David is a fraternal Jewish organization dedicated to promoting Jewish identity and brotherhood while supporting local institutions and char-ities.

Now in its 5th year, with a fresh new name, the Atlanta Kosher BBQ Festival is Atlanta’s premier Kosher BBQ event and one of the most popular festivals in the Atlanta Jewish Community. Our little competition born out of a parking lot is now a massive communi-ty-wide festival (3500 participants in 2016) for BBQ chefs and enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds.
