The Dublin City Council collaborating with IBM

is combining real-time data streaming with traffic information from a variety of sources, including road sensors, video cameras and GPS updates from the city's 1,000 buses.

Opower is able to analyse data from more than 52 million households and generate savings plans for the use of energy. Average savings are from 1 to 3.5%. Customers: National Grid, Progress Energy, Gulf Power, CenterPoint Energy and Xcel Energy.

Google monitors and analyzes queries submitted to search engine to create a query historical model. Incoming searches are organized in buckets.

Twitter analyzes popular queries submitted to its search engine when relevant event happens. Then these queries are correlated in real-time with 2.1 billion tweets per day.
