There are blow hole defects and sand hole defects problems for all foundries.

Normally around 5-15% will have such problems (gray iron/ductile iron

castings and non-ferro castings). Most of the defects will appear after machining.

All of the defect castings will become foundry returns if they can not be repaired. For re-melting those foundry returns will have more cost - power

consumption / labour cost / raw material cost etc.

To use ATOM AWE-16A welding machine will repair those defect castings and save your cost up to 10-30%

1: CASTING DEFECTS REPAIRING

Foundry mould need to be repaired frequently, due to some damages will happen to make the surface not smooth any more, this will affect the final

products.

Instead of replace with a new mould, to use ATOM AWE-16A welding machine will repair those problems, after polishing the damaged mould will be just like a new one.

Different welding rod materials are available for different metals.

5: COMPARE TO OTHER WELDING MACHINE

Working principle of AWE-16A:

Electro-spark deposition process is to use the high-energy power stored and release instantly between electrode and matrix with high frequency release, through air ionization channels formed between the electrode and matrix to generate an instant high temperature, high pressure micro-region. While ion state of the electrode materials in micro-melt into the matrix, forming metallurgical combination. Not only due to quenching of metal surface to form martensite, and also deposition process of the narrow transition region to form ultra-fine austenitic organization. So electro-spark deposition process is not normal welding or coating process.
