MAHARASHTRA TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION-2019 Anika Bhardwaj of class 9Y secured the SECOND Rank in Mumbai District with 98% marks.
World Wide Foundation Examination The World Wide Foundation conducted WWF Quiz competition Final in Godrej School,
Vikroli. Tanush Bhatt of class 4 Y secured the third position.
All-India Inter-AECS Cultural Meet-2019 -20 A team of students participated in the All-India Inter-AECS Cultural Meet held at AECS-Narora
from 07.11.2019 to 20.11.2019. They won the FIRST position in the group song competition
(Junior Group).
The same students participated in the Inter-School Group Singing Competition held on
07.08.2019 at New Horizon Public School, Airoli. They won the second position in this
competition.
In the All-India Inter-AECS Cultural Meet held at AECS Narora,Alapan Barman of Class 9Y
won laurels for the school by bagging the first position in the “Tabla: Solo”competition.
Homi Bhabha Balvaigyanik Competition:
This examination was conducted on 5.10.2019.Four children of class VI and six children of class
IX cleared the first-level examination and took the second-level examinations.
The second-level examination was conducted on 9.12.2019 and 16.12.2019. Kaushambi Mitra of
class 6Y and Anupam Singh of class 9Y cleared the second-level exams.
Green Olympiad Examination
114 students appeared for Green Olympiad exam which was conducted on 16.10.
2019.
15 children scored above 60% marks and have been awarded the Certificate of
Merit.
Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (2019-20)
104 students registered for the first Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (2019-20) contest
conducted by CBSE.The first stage was conducted at the school-level. Three
students were selected for the second stage.
In the second stage, AritraMahata of class 10 X and Parijat Mukherjee of class9 X
were among the Top 100 performers of the Pune Region.
Regional Mathematics Olympiad (2019-20)
Anika Bharadwaj of class 10-Y cleared the Pre-RMO and appeared for the Regional
Mathematics Olympiad Examination.
We are proud to announce that Anika Bharadwaj cleared the RMO too and was selected for the
Indian Mathematics Olympiad.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA
International Day of Yoga was celebrated on 21.06.2019.
SCHOOL-LEVEL SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCE, MATHS AND
TEACHING AIDS EXHIBITION
The school-level Science, Social Science, Mathematics and Teaching Aids Exhibition was
conducted on 3rd July, 2019.
Science and Mathematics Exhibition 2019 for the Primary Sections
• In the Science Exhibition, 209 students participated; 33participants of ClassesI to V
obtained prizes.
• In the Mathematics Exhibition, 65 students participated; 22 participants obtained
prizes.
Science Exhibition 2019 for the Secondary Sections
A total of 83 exhibits were displayed by students of Classes VI to X; class-wise
results were announced.
Investiture ceremony (2019-20)
The CCA activities for the year 2019-20 began with the Investiture Ceremony on 02-5-2019.
The school appointees such as the School Captain, the School Vice-Captain, CCA Captain and
CCA Vice-Captain, Sports Captain etc., were invested with various duties and responsibilities in
order to facilitate the conduct of CCA, assembly, sports and other activities. This was done with
a view to instilling a sense of belonging in them and to hone their leadership qualities.
INTER-AECS ART COMPETITION Rudransh Singh of Pre-PrepX won the First Prize in Group A category of the Inter-AECS Art
Competition, 2018, organized jointly by AEES and the DAE Sports and Cultural Council.
SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS (2019-2020)
NATIONAL-LEVEL COMPETITIONS 1. MEHUL GAUTAM [9Y] was the THIRD Runner-up in the Under-14 Boys Singles
&Doubles event in the All-India Ranking Championship Series Lawn
TennisTournament organized by Solapur District Lawn Tennis Association. This
competition was conducted under the auspices of the All-India Lawn Tennis
Association & Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association.
2. RAJASI PALAYE [7Z] was the SECOND Runner-up in the Under-14 Girls’
Balancing Beam event in the CBSE National Gymnastics Championship organized by
Central Board of Secondary Education and recognized by the Ministry of Youth
Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.

DISTRICT-LEVELTAEKWONDO COMPETITION YASH KOLEKAR [9 Z] was the winner in the Under-17 Boys’ (68-73 kgweight)
categoryin the DSO District Taekwondo Championships,organized by the Directorate
of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Maharashtra.
TABLE TENNIS
YASH DALVI [10 X] was the winner in the Under-17 Boys’ SANWEI MSD Table
Tennis Club League Tournament, FIRST Runner-up in Junior Boys’ JVPG Club
Promotional Table Tennis Tournament, FIRST Runner-up in the Junior Boys’
Poinsur Gymkhana Table Tennis Tournament respectively, conducted under the
auspices of Mumbai Suburban District Table Tennis Association.
TALUKA-LEVEL COMPETITION
The team comprising Yash Dalvi (10 X), Avnish Joshi (10 X) and Aniruddh Iyer (9 Z) won
the table tennis competition in the Under-17 Boys’ category in the DSO Taluka Table
Tennis tournament organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Services, Government of
Maharashtra.
CBSE HUB OF LEARNING
The school Under-14 Girls’and Boys’teams won the First and Third prizes,
respectively in the 4x100 Metres Relay Event in the Hub of Learning (MR 1325)
Inter-School Athletic Meet 2019-2020 organized by the New Horizon Public School,
Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
STAFF ACHIEVEMENT: AWARD OF DOCTORAL DEGREE
Dr.R.StylemonPillai,TGT SS [Physical Education Teacher] was awarded the
Doctoral degree in Physical Education for his research on the topic titled “Effects of
Plyometric and Complex training on Drop-Off time and selected fitness components
among Runners”. He did his doctoral research from the Department of Physical
Education & Health Sciences, Alagappa University. The convocation ceremony was
presided over by the Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri Banwarilal Purohit.
SELECTIONS FOR BALL BADMINTON (ELLORA TEAM)
AECS-2, Mumbai was tasked with the responsibility of conducting the Selection
trials for Ball Badminton event for Ellora (Mumbai-II) team, vide DAE Letter No:
202(2)/1/2019-IR & W, dated September 6, 2019. The selection trials were held on
30th November 2019 at Nalanda Square, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai. The preliminary
selection was in connection with the XXXV Annual DAE Sports & Cultural Meet
(2019-20) conducted in February2020.
TEACHERS’ACHIEVEMENTS
Smt. Janitha Suresh, PRT(SS), was awarded the Aabha Goswami award for2019. It is indeed a
creditable achievement and truly a moment to cherish for the institution.
Shri Hari Shankar Tripathi TGT(S S), Smt. Savitri Tiwari TGT (SS) and Smt. Veena Raul,
UDC,completed 25 years of service in AEES.

Swacchta Pakhwada, Swachh Bharat & Swachh Paryatan Mission
Swacchta Pakhwada was organized in September 2019.Slogan-writing,Rally through the main
avenues of the township, painting competition, essay-writing, cleaning the school premises,street
play, poetry-writing, sapling donation etc., were taken up by students, staff and parents. All the
participants were highly enthused by the activities undertaken.
A talk on “Segregation of dry and wet waste” was given by members of the Stree Mukti
Sangathan on 26.9.2019, as part of the movement “Swachhta Hi Seva”. A report, along with
photos,was prepared and sent to Academic Unit within the prescribed time.
A special programme on Swachhta for the Secondary was conducted by officials of the Indian
Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior on 20.1.2020.Activities such as Swachhta
documentary screening, Nukkad Natak, Drawing, Quiz etc., were organised on the occasion.
Hindi Pakhwada As part of Hindi Pakhwada celebrations, competitions such as poster and slogan-writing, Essay-
writing, Kavya Lekhan, Typing etc. were organized in Hindi at school from 14.9.2019 to
28.9.2019. The winners were felicitated.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP & ORGAN DONATION PLEDGE
Students, as mandated by AEES, escorted by Dr Stylemon Pillai, P E T, attended an awareness
programme related to Blood & Organ Donation. The programme was organized by DIYA in
association with Tata Memorial Hospital & Narmada Kidney Foundation at AECS-1, Mumbai
on 16.02.2020.Students were also administered a pledge on organ donation.
PLOGGING RUN
A Plogging Run [Jogging & Litter collection]was conducted on 23.02.2020. Many students
participated in this event. This event was organised under the guidance of Hon’ble Chairman,
Atomic Energy Commission& Secretary, DAE, along with other units of DAE.
Sesqui-centennial (150th) Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations The Sesqui-centennial celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti were organised in a befitting manner on
2nd October 2019.
Vigilance Awareness Week
Various activities were conducted in connection with the Vigilance Awareness Week
observed from 28.10.2019 to 2.11.2019. A timely report was prepared and sent to the office
of the Secretary, AEES.
Teachers’ Day Teachers’ Day was celebrated in a befitting manner.
School Advisory Committee Meetings
Four meetings of the School Advisory Committee were held in the course of the academic year.
They were conducted on 27.07.2019, 06.12.2019, 18.01.2020 & 13.03.2020. Parents were
apprised of the steps taken to address all school matters, including academic, logistical and
safety-related issues.
Vigyan Pratibha workshop for Science &Maths teachers at HBCSE, Mumbai:
Vigyan Pratibha workshop for Science &Maths teachers was conducted at HBCSE, Mumbai in
two spells. The first spell was from 27.8.2019 to 31.8.2019.The second spell was conducted
from15.12.2019 to 18.12.2019. Mrs. Ratna Rathore (TGT Maths/Physics) and Mrs. Auditi
Dey(TGT Biology/Chemistry) were invited to attend the workshop. Teachers made good use of
the skills acquired and transmitted to students the various learning units prepared in
collaboration with HBCSE.
Frontiers of Science at TIFR (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research), Colaba
15 students, along with 6 teachers, attended the ‘Frontiers of Science’ programme at TIFR,
Colaba on 24.11.2019. The students and the teachers visited various labs of TIFR. Different
experiments were demonstrated to them. This was an enriching experience for all.

Science Teachers’ Exchange Programme: The Science teachers’ exchange programme was organized under HOL (Hubs of learning)
programme framed by CBSE. Mrs.Neeta Bhatnagar, TGT (Biology/Chemistry) and
Mrs.Pushpalatha Khullar, TGT (Biology/Chemistry) attended a meeting at Sheth Karamshi Kanji
English High School, Mulund, Mumbai on 19.12.2019. Both the teachers gave a presentation on the
topic – “Art Integration in Science”.
Teacher-Student Camp under Vigyan Pratibha project: Ranked among the most active schools in respect of the Vigyan Pratibha activities, AECS-2,
Mumbai was selected for the teacher-student camp at HBCSE. Mrs.Ratna Rathore (TGT
Maths/Physics) and Mrs.AuditiDey (TGT Biology/Chemistry), along with 6 students, were invited
to attend the camp which was organized at HBCSE from 28.1.2020 to 30.1. 2020.

MARTYRS’ DAY
Martyrs’ Day was observed in a becoming fashion on 30.01.2020. Speeches highlighting their
supreme sacrifice were delivered by students on this occasion. Activities as mandated were
conducted.
PARENT-TEACHER MEETINGS
General parent-teacher meetings for all classes were conducted on 24.8.2020 and
15.2.2020. A special parent-teacher meeting, exclusively for class X, was organized on
25.1. 2020.
All-India National Dance Contest
R. Harini Iyer won the FIRST prize in the All-India Dance Contest conducted by Akhil
Natrajam Aantar Sanskrutik Sangh, Nagpur. The competition was conducted from 28.1.2020 to
31.1.2020.
She also won the third prize in the Kalanjali National Classical Dance Competition-2019
conducted by Kalanand Nritya Sanstha, Mumbai. The competition was held on 17&18.8.2019.
Republic Day Celebrations-2020
The Republic Day Celebrations were organised in a befitting manner in the school as well as in
the main function at AEJC Playground.
FAREWELL for class X
Farewell for class X was celebrated in an appropriate fashion on 17.02.2020.
