Voltage Sensing CardStyle Number 7820C97GOl

111evoltage sensing card is a very versatile sensing card which may be used with aWestínghouse Transfer Switch. The card may be used as a replacement for oldcrversions of the voltage sensing card in existing equipment,

The card may be "programmed" to perform either undervoItage, or overvoltagesensing, on single or three phase applications.

Programrning of the card is accomplished by positioning j umpers on the positíonslabeled J 1 through J7 on the board itself. This alJows easy modification of the cardat the users' discretion. Both function and the pickup and dropout values may beeasily changed by folIowing the instructions provided.

Cards shipped from the factory are prograrnmed to the users' original specification,or to the standard pickup and dropout values as follows:

Pickup90%110%

Dropout80%115%

Programmíng the Card

Reprogramming of the card may be accomplished by using the attachcd.instructions.

It is recommended that you removeALL jumpers from J1 through J7. As suppliedfrorn the factory there are cnough j umpers to program the card for either function, and value.

The card may be programmed for either UNDERVOLTAGE or OVERVOLTAGE,but NOT 80TH!! To attempt to program the card for both voltage sensingfunctions WILL CAUSE THE CARO TO MALFUNCTION, AND POSSIBLYDAMAGE THE ELECTRONICS ON THE CARD !!! .

·Undervoltage Programmíng1. Place a jumperon J6

2. Insure that there IS NOTa jumper on J7

q. Choose the desired pickup and dropout values from TABLE 1, and placejumpers on the pins indicated.

4. For THREE phase sensing place jumper on J1 (see CAUTION below)

CAUTION:

If the card is to be used for THREEPHASE senslng, you must Insure that thesensing position (Normal or Emergency) is fed by a three phase transformerpackage. On three phase units sold by Westinghouse; the standard is threephase s~nsing on NORMAL,and single phase sensing on EMERGENCY.

THREEPHASE SENSING ON EMERGENCYrs AVAILABLE ONLY AS A FACTORYINSTALLEDOPTION. If in doubt, contact the factory for assistance.

Overvoltage Programmíng1. Place a jumper on J7

2. Insure that there IS NOT a jumper on J6

3. Choose the desired pickup and dropout values from TABLE 1, and placejumpers on the indicated pins.

4. For THREE PHASE sensing place a [urnper on J1 (See CAUTION below)

CAUTION:

If the card is to be used tor THREE PHASE sensing,y:ou must insure that thesensing position (Normal or Emergency) is fed by a three phase transtorrnerpackage. On three phase units sold by Westínghouse, the standard is threephase sensing on NORMAL, and single phase sensing on EMERGENCY.

,'.: ...•..THAEE PHASE SENSING ON EMERGENCY IS AVAILABLE ONLY AS A FACTOAYINSTALLED OPTJON. If in doubt, contact the factory for asslstarce.
