In order for cells to take up important molecules from their environment the protein dynamin is required. Ourproposal seeks to understand the way this protein works. This knowledge will improve our understanding of the way in which many molecules enter our cells and could be useful for the design of therapeutic interventions.

The goal is to achieve a better understanding of the magnetic features defining the corona, in particular their quiescent and dynamic behavior, and their subsequent impact of the solar wind.
This project will trace the history of water from its formation in the interstellar medium to incorporation in the solarsystem, how it reaches the terrestrial planets, and its role in life.
Mineralogical, petrographic, and isotopic studies of chondrules, refractory inclusions, and metal grains from themetal-rich CH and CB carbonaceous chondrites using scanning electron microscopy, electron probe microanalysis, secondary ion mass spectrometry, Raman spectroscopy and other analytical techniques.
This proposal is to study the shock acceleration of solar energetic particles, and their transport, coupled to thedynamics of coronal mass ejections driven shock wave of the sun. The goal is to develop a self-consistent model which integrates the best theories developed for every aspect of the solar particle production and transport.
To enhance the research conducted at the IPRC to study the Pacific climate variability and processes, PacificOcean circulation and its roles in climate and Asian-Australian monsoon system (A-AMS).
I will use the University of Hawaii Cameca ims 1280 ion microprobe to study the origin of the solar system throughmeasurements of the isotopic compositions of meteorites and interplanetary dust particles. I will investigate the raw materials, the processes and the timing of events in the early solar system.
In order to constrain the origin of primitive chondrite components, we propose to study oxygen isotopiccompositions of several chondritic components.

The program will demonstrate the role of solar magnetic field and their impact on the Earth's environment.
We propose to examine how temperature and stand developmental phase interact to impact: (i) forest ecosystemcarbon allocation (fluxes of carbon into and out of forest ecosystems, and how carbon is partitioned within the ecosystem); and (ii) the partitioning of belowground carbon flux.
Four students will travel with the the PI to Germany to conduct research on the performance of riverbank filtrationssystems for water supply.
We will examine carbon cycling in an upwelling coastal margins of Oregon, with particular focus on physicaltransport and chemical reaction in the bottom boundary layer.
This proposal seeks support to continue work on the marine Os isotope record. In this cycle we are concentratingour efforts on establishing the utility of Os isotopes and platinum group element ratios for recognizing large impactevents in the geologic record and estimating their size.
This is a supplemental proposal that will support two undergraduate students working on this project. The twostudents will be involved for both the simulation and experimental verification work.
This proposal seeks funds to develop new instrumental chemical methods that will allow the measurement of very
