Outreach Opportunities

Baggo, Pizza and Fellowship

“Saving Faith" revolves around Faith Scott and her Uncle

Donny. Faith is the Executive Director of the Ritz Theater in

the small Tennessee town of Clinton. After years of struggle

to keep the doors open it looks like it might be time to shut

them for good. In one last ditch effort to keep the theater

alive, Faith and Uncle Donny look to put together a big

Christmas show...in June. Using his connections, that Faith

knows nothing about, Uncle Donny is able to book a big

time headliner for the show - Vince Gill and Amy Grant.

Peter Marsh is a local business man in Clinton that has

been waiting for the Ritz to go under so he can buy it cheap

from the bank and sell it to a big time developer. When he

hears about the Vince Gill/Amy Grant show, he pulls out all

the stops to make sure the show does not go on. Uncle

Donny, Faith and their friends and family pull together to

make sure that they have done everything in their power to

keep the doors to the Ritz Theater open, but can they

succeed? PLEASE JOIN US AND BRING A FRIEND!

Peace With Justice Offering - June 16

Peace with Justice Sunday is one of six church wide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. Peace with Justice Sunday enables The United Methodist Church to have a voice in advocating for peace and justice through a broad spectrum of global programs. The special offering benefits peace with justice ministries in the annual conference and through the General Board of Church and Society.

Together, United Methodists do remarkable ministry around the world. We care for survivors recovering from earthquakes and storms; we invest, long term, in vulnerable communities; we implement the most effective solutions to diseases like malaria; we equip the next generation to lead the church and society. In all of this, we share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Wesley Mission Team

Please join us in prayer for our Wesley UMC Mission Team to

Budapest, Hungary, Lindsee Gage, Rene`e Gage, and Mary

Shoemaker. They leave this Thursday to share the love of

Christ as they teach conversational English and build

relationships with High School Students.

The organ flowers are in celebration of Dale Morse’s 90th

birthday.

The communion table flowers are in celebration of Jim & Arlene Morgan’s 51th wedding anniversary.

Thank you

Thank you to our church “family” for the prayers, calls, visits, and meals since Marv’s emergency surgery and recovery. Special thanks to Pastor Bruce for always being available when we need him. Wesley is truly blessed to have such amazing pastors. The love, care, and support shown by so many has eased the burden of the changes to come. He will begin treatment the end of June and once every 28 days for the next six months so continued prayers are appreciated. We know that God’s healing mercies will abound through His wisdom given to the medical staff. God is good All the time/All the time God is good.

In Christ’s Love,

Marv and Deb

There will be no Baggo until July 3.

Prime Timer’s Update

There will be no outing for the month of June while the

mission team is away. Also, there will be no luncheon in

July due to the July 4th holiday.

Activities will resume at the end of July.

Join us for a Celebration in honor of John & Judy Spahn’s

50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, June 19 from

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Canton Elks. Please RSVP to Judy

338-1315 or Carrie 224-1833.

The only gift we need is your presence

You’re Invited!!
