INTRODUCTION TO UFONE Ufone is a newly cellular company as
compared to others like Mobilink, Zong. Instaphone operating in Pakistan, providing cellular services for Eight years now. Ufone services are offered by Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), a 100% owned subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL).
The company commenced its operations, under the brand name of Ufone, from Islamabad on January 29, 2001. and subsequently extended its coverage to other cities i.e. Lahore, Karachi, Kohat, Jehlum,Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sheikhopura etc. In addition to the road coverage on Peshawar-Islamabad-Lahore section. Till now its coverage has been extended to more than 750 cities in pakistan.

Weaknesses include internal limitations and negative situational factors that may interfere with the company’s performance. The weaknesses of Ufone are as follows:-
Ufone main problems weak signal in backward areas and villages like Farid Kassar in Chakwal.
Ufone has less professionalism within the organizational members.
OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunities are favorable factors or trends in the external environment that the company may be able to exploit to its advantage.
Ufone has following opportunities in its way:-
Ufone biggest opportunity lying ahead in near future is the phase of conversion of their 3G Into 4G (satellite based) technology.

Ufone has the opportunity to win the customers of its competitors by providing them superior services at low price
If Ufone provide an offer free Sim card with a cell phone to there customers then it will be great opportunity for Ufone.
THREATS Threats are unfavorable external factors
or trends that may present challenges to performance. Ufone is facing/about to face the following threats:-
Ufone biggest opportunity is its biggest threat as well. The phase of its conversion of 3G technology to 4G technology can be a threat for it if not carried out properly.
THREATS The boosting customer base of Warid
and Zong is also a big threat for Ufone The decreasing economy rate and
instability of Pakistan is a big threat for all businesses in Pakistan including Ufone.
