General Guidelines

1. In the case of most contract items, some restric-tions apply. We encourage you to see a staff member to examine the contract prior to bidding.

2. Bidders will be identified by number. Your number is on the back of the program.

3. The highest bidder accepted by the auctioneer is the buyer. The auctioneer will settle any dispute among bidders.

4. Upon payment of the auction items, all sales shall be considered final. The articles sold are at the risk and responsibility of the buyer.

5. Cashiers will tally up the Silent and Live Auction purchases. All items must be paid for and removed from the premises this evening. We accept checks, credit cards, and cash. Please make checks payable to the “Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce.”

6. All services, trips, gift certificates, parties and such, must be used as stated in the contract. Taxes, tips and beverages are usually not included in dinner packages unless stated on the contract.

7. All buyers should contact the donors within thirty days to arrange dates for dinners, vacation trips, parties and other reservations.

8. Auction items purchased should be claimed at the display/ holding area at the close of the auction.

Silent Auction Rules & Procedures

1. You will receive an auction number upon entry. It is on the back of your program.

2. To submit a bid, record your bid number and bid amount on the bid sheets that correspond to the number for items you wish to purchase.

3. Watch as bids increase. Submit new bids on items as often as you wish.

4. Silent Auction starting minimum bid is listed at the top of the “Silent Bid Sheet” and can be raised in minimum increments of $2.

5. Results will be posted. The highest bid at closing time will be the winner and will be officially ap proved by the Auction Committee. The decisions of the Committee will be final.

6. Silent Auction closes at: 7:15 pm

After you have checked out, the auction runners will gather your purchases and bring them to pick up table.

Any gift certificates will be added at this time.

Please do not remove any items from the tables! Our auction runners will do this for you.

Live Auction Rules & Procedures

1. All items in the live auction will be presented by the auctioneer and bidding for the items will begin at the level announced.

2. Bid by raising your official bid number.

3. Bid spotters will assist the auctioneer in locating interested bidders, so don’t hesitate to get their attention any way you can.

4. The buyer will be announced by number and winning amount. The cashier will keep a record of the purchases by each bidder. Payment should be made for all items at one time, at the close of the live auction.
