Fine Jewelry

Our upcoming Fine Jewelry auction will feature several exceptional fancy colored diamonds and colored stones. Highlights will include an impressive 7.85 carat cushion cut diamond ring of Fancy Vivid Yellow color from the Estate of Barbara Archer Thomas, Naples, Florida and a 10.99 carat Fancy Yellow oval brilliant cut diamond ring. Other diamonds in a variety of sizes, including colorless, near colorless and shades of pink and blue, will also be featured.

Fine colored stones will include an 11.97 carat natural untreated Ceylon pink sapphire, a 5.01 carat natural untreated Burmese blue sapphire and an 11.00 carat Colombian emerald. The most unusual of these is an Art Deco ring containing a 5.50 carat alexandrite of superb color change. Both vintage and contemporary works by notable houses such as Cartier, Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co., Oscar Heyman Brothers and others will be included in the sale.

Modern and Contemporary Art

The May Modern and Contemporary Art auction will feature important modern photographs from Robert Frank’s The Americans, Man Ray’s portfolio Electricité and a rare abstract photograph by Jaromir Funke. Ten etchings from Picasso’s celebrated Suite Vollard and Barnett Newman’s minimalist etching Untitled Etching 2, will lead a very strong session of prints and multiples.

Original contemporary works will include a lyrical abstraction by Iraqi artist Shakir Hassan Al Said and a hyper-realist still life by Italian painter Luciano Ventrone. Milwaukee

Due to the continued success of our Milwaukee office, we are pleased to announce the opening of a second location in the Historic Third Ward. The new 3,000 square foot space will be used to hold preview exhibitions, host auctions and store the influx of incoming property; our current location will continue to serve as the main client service and business

development office. Judy Rauh, a Milwaukee native with previous leadership experience at the United Way and the United Performing Arts Fund, has recently been appointed to spearhead business development efforts in the area. The Milwaukee Spring auction will take place in the new location, at 525 East Chicago, this April.
