What would “put you off” wanting to see a Horror film?

When I received all of my feedback I couldn’t put this into a pie chart as it was an open

question. So I used the method of Thematic analysis, by using this I found that there were

three re-occurring themes these were:

• Similar plots – Using this I can make sure that my plot isn’t similar to others out there

making mine unique and exciting.

• Gruesome Horror – Using this I can make sure that there isn’t too much gore, but this isn’t

a theme I was planning on using in my trailer.

• Boring - From this I think the audience that took my questionnaire mean themes that are

always in horror films so I need to make sure that I use original ideas and have something

that others don’t.

When I found this in my feedback it was expected but I also found one that I didn’t expect

as all the research I had done didn’t really show much of this theme:

• Nudity – This is an element of my film that I wasn’t going to include in my horror trailer.
