Making the British library interface more accessible to people with the cognitive limitations /intellectually disabled people by embedding new audio features to BL-Kiosk
Audio ADR Group Strategy
• Complete initial ADR research
• Research main theme for audio for screen
• Critically analyse and asses concept ideas
• Define User Goals
• Find user audio problems
• List possible audio features
• Produce initial visuals/audio of concept deliverables (mp3 files, sketches, recordings)
• Sketch/wireframe NEW interface with audio for screen solutions
• Create diagrams and prototypes
Existing Interface
• Directional speakers for interface kiosk
• Increased accessibility through use of new audio features to aid impaired users in the following areas visibility, sensory & cognitive
• Audio option for multiple language audio translations
• New audio feedback for interactive buttons within interface design
• Provide audio of text as finger sides over book pages (stops & starts when finger is in contact with book text)
• Combine iPhones Siri into interface or Siri like feature
