    Canadian Fabricating & Welding

Growth in Canada’s manufacturing sector accelerated in mid-2018 to its fastest pace in more than seven years as new orders and inventories climbed. The metal manufac-turing area in particular saw positive gains.

Despite this, it’s been a shaky year for industry as politics have threatened to disrupt positive signals across the country. With U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum, and threatened tariffs on other finished goods, Canadian manufacturers are left wondering how this will affect their ability to sell into the U.S. and how business in general will be affected. Many are hoping for clarification to arrive via a renegotiated North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). However, there’s a sense that the coming year will be anything but business as usual.

Ultimately, Canadian manufacturers will need to be more productive to offset potential extra costs associated with doing business. The investments being made in equipment and software will be important to create shops that are more agile and better able to react to market shifts.

Canadian Fabricating & Welding is well-suited to helping manufacturers on this journey. From design-for-manufac-turing tips and guidance on how to prepare for Industry 4.0 implementation to robotic welding automation advice and online management of welding machines, the maga-zine aims to help fabricators and welders understand how best to move their business toward effective automation and explain the values of a fully connected shop floor.

And readers have made it clear that they value what they read in the magazine. The typical subscriber to Canadian

Metalworking and Canadian Fabricating & Welding spends an average of 34.4 minutes* reading each issue. That’s more time than it takes to watch the average sitcom on television. And best of all, these subscribers are your target prospects and customers.

Canadian Fabricating & Welding reaches more than 30,000 qualified** and BPA-audited subscribers every month, and once they finish reading each issue they usually pass it along to a co-worker or a decision-maker. In fact, on average, each issue is passed along to 2.1 additional read-ers for a total potential reading audience of 93,043 people every month*.

According to a 2018 readership survey, over 98 per cent of respondents trust the information and articles found in Canadian Metalworking and Canadian Fabricating & Welding***.

We at Canadian Fabricating & Welding look forward to working with you in 2019 to support our readers, and help them to thrive in these challenging market conditions. Together, we hope to educate our readers on the many ways they can achieve more in the near future.
