WORK EXPERIENCEMilton Keynes Theatre offers three week-long work experience placements each year that are aimed at young people aged 16 and above, who are studying a related course or subject at sixth form, college or equivalent and are looking to gain an insight into working behind the scenes in a theatre.
Work experience weeks provide successful applicants with the opportunity to spend a day working with our Creative Learning, Box Office, Front of House, Technical and Marketing departments. Milton Keynes Theatre is a receiving house; a theatre which solely present touring productions, therefore we are not able to provide students with work experience in acting, production, stage management, wardrobe, theatrical make-up or directing. Our work experience placements are only suitable for those interested in gaining greater understanding of how a theatre operates and the different departments within it.
To download an application form for our work experience placement, and for more information on our 2017/8 work experiment placement dates please visit: creativelearning.atg.co.uk/workexperienceplacements
If you are a HE student studying a theatre or arts management related course and are interested in participating in a theatre internship we are at times able to accommodate this; if you are to gain academic credit as part of the course you are studying. If you would like to apply for an internship opportunity please send a copy of your CV and a covering letter explaining the course you are studying to: Creative Learning Manager, Milton Keynes Theatre, 500 Marlborough Gate, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3NZ
