Welcome! 3August 18, 2010

If you are the kind of person that is always running a little late, you will become well aquainted with Lindsay Neville. Not only does she write late slips, but her office is also stocked with advil for she is also the school’s unofficial nurse. Listen up for the pop music she plays throughout the day.

Dean of Students, Lynne Hansen, is a major player on campus. She may seem intimidating at times for her responsibilities include enforcing the drug and alchohol policy and deciding the fate of your Minicourse. However, she is also has a great sense of humor.

Long celebrated as the center of campus and community, the circle is the best place to spend a beautiful lunchtime relaxing in the sunshine or to just hang out with friends.

The Circle8.

Whether it be to compost, plant a new bed of vegetables, or simply lie in the sun and sample the sweet nectar of our delicious, homegrown rasberries, the entire commuity relishes MA’s sunny slice of paradise.

The Garden5.17. The Library

The library is a major gathering place for the community. The “silent room” is a haven for those who require a peaceful environment for their academic pursuits. Be sure to say hi to Ma’at, the Egyptian goddess of order, currently incarnated as a noise-monitering traffic light.

The cafeteria serves an array of organic lunch entres and yummy baked goods. Consequently, it is one of the most active places on campus. During lunch, break, and before and after school, you can be sure to find it a buzz with conversation and packed full of students munching on a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies.

The Cafeteria15.

After the construction of the BBLC finished in 2007, the cafeteria courtyard became a lively social center on campus. The courtyard is a great place to soak up some sun when you’re not in class.

The Courtyard16. 10. The Field

The field is home to MA’s soccer and lacrosse teams. These sports have a large fan base and so spirited students and faculty can often be spotted cheering on the sidelines.

Travis is a keystone of the MA community. From her senior speech intros to the well stocked candy bowl in her office, Travis makes an effort to get to know the student body.

If you want food quickly, United Liquor, dubbed “The Corner Store” by students, is the place to go. It’s a big, orange building on 4th Street just a half of a block away from F Street. The walk time is minimal. Students regularly make Corner Store runs when they have a craving during lunch, tutorial, break or a free block. The store sells candies, chips, gum, drinks and other packaged foods.

There are multiple little cafes that line 4th Street. Mojay’s Cafe stands out because of its prox-imity to campus, quality, selection and minimal wait time. It is roughly a ten minute walk. Food served at this cafe ranges from sandwiches to baked goods to a large number of breakfast op-tions. Organic coffee, tea, freshly-made juices and smoothies are also availible. All MA students also recieve a 15% discount!

Tuttimelon, also on 4th Street, is both a frozen yogurt and gelato cafe with trendy decor and essential air condition-ing for the warmer San Rafael days. A fifteen minute walk from school, Tut-timelon serves four delicious flavors of frozen yogurt and offers a large selection of toppings. The Voice staff recommends plain yogurt with crushed oreos and fresh strawberries.
