RBI Reduces number of Transaction from other ATMs

1. In its recent move the central bank of India, RBI, has cut down the limit of maximum transaction limit from other ATM (other ATMs means ATMs other than that have been issued by the same bank of which ATM is being used).

2. Now, customers can withdraw money only 3 times from other ATMs. However, money can be withdrawn from other ATM but customers have to pay rupee 20 as transaction fee for each transaction.

3. This rule will be applicable from 1st November 2014. 4. However, limit of money withdrawal from the same ATM is 5 time. 6 times in

case of cities for Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Union Government Launches .bharat domain

1. The Indian government has launched a domain name extension as “.bharat” in devanagari script.

2. The domain extension .bharat will be, for now, available in 8 Indian languages (including Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani).

3. However, the NIXI (National Internet Exchange of India) will launch the Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) in other Indian languages too.

4. The other languages will cover languages such as – Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, Bangla and Urdu etc.

R Ramanujam Committee on Obsolete Laws
