An Afternoon to RememberPiedmont Crossing is still feeling marital bliss fromThe Newlywed Game that was recently held oncampus. The gameshow featured five couples that allmet at the retirement community, four residentcouples and one staff couple. The host, Piedmont

Crossing Executive Director Doug Russell, gave theguest audience many laughs and played the part ofBob Eubanks so well. Prior to Doug donning his1970’s attire for the gameshow, he had a wardrobemalfunction. Luckily, our front desk receptionistKaren was nearby to do some last minute repairs tohis suit. Doug enthusiastically hosted PiedmontCrossing’s version of The Newlywed Game.Congratulations to employees Mur and CharityDeJonge, the most recent newlywed couple andwinners of The Newlywed Game at PiedmontCrossing!

Piedmont Crossing Welcomes Rev. Robert D. Symanski Piedmont Crossing is excited to welcome the Rev. Robert D. Symanski to the Spiritual Life

Department. Robert has beenpastor at Bethel UnitedMethodist Church since July2014. Bob is a graduate of theUniversity of North Carolina atChapel Hill and Duke DivinitySchool, and an ordained UnitedMethodist Elder. Since 2000 he

has served churches of the Western North CarolinaConference in Winston-Salem, Robbinsville,Advance and Charlotte. Rev. Symanski has nowassumed the role of Director of Spiritual Life, with a goal of meeting the spiritual and emotional needsof those served at Piedmont Crossing.
