God of our redempon, we confess that we have not been faithful servants. We have

not served you with sincere hearts nor trusted in your salvaon. We have forsaken you,

TTTTIME WITH OOOOUR CCCCHILDREN AND YYYYOUTH

How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!

My soul longs, indeed it faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh

sing for joy to the living God.

Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her

young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.

Happy are those who live in your house, ever singing your praise. Happy are

those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.

As they go through the valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also

covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; the God of gods will be seen in

Zion.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Behold our

shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed.

For a day in your courts is be.er than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a

doorkeeper in the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing

does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts, happy is everyone who trusts in you.

Keep these words in your heart. The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.

Thanks be to God.

PPPPRAYER OF THE PPPPEOPLE/LLLLORD’S PPPPRAYER (Traditional, “Debts and Debtors”)

SSSSHARING OF JJJJOYS AND CCCCONCERNS

Let us pray to the Lord, saying,

O God, keep your promise. You have the words of life.

Faithful God, there is no one like you...for the church, the crea/on, and those

in need.

O God, keep your promise. You have the words of life.

Let your church stand firm...to nourish, sustain, and shelter humankind and all

living things.

O God, keep your promise. You have the words of life.

May the rulers...hear the cry of the stranger, the forgo.en.

O God, keep your promise. You have the words of life.

Strengthen our faith...through Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray...

*A*A*A*AFFIRMATION OF FFFFAITH (from A Brief Statement of Faith) Liturgist

We trust in God the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life. The Spirit

jusfies us by grace through faith, sets us free to accept ourselves and to love God

and neighbor, and binds us together with all believers in the one body of Christ, the

Church. The same Spirit who inspired the prophets and apostles rules our faith and

life in Christ through Scripture, engages us through the Word proclaimed, claims us in

the waters of bapsm, feeds us with the bread of life and the cup of salvaon, and

calls women and men to all ministries of the Church. In a broken and fearful world

the Spirit gives us courage to pray without ceasing, to witness among all peoples to

Christ as Lord and Savior, to unmask idolatries in Church and culture, to hear the

voices of peoples long silenced, and to work with others for jusce, freedom, and

peace. In gratude to God, empowered by the Spirit, we strive to serve Christ in our

daily tasks and to live holy and joyful lives, even as we watch for God’s new heaven

and new earth, praying, “Come, Lord Jesus!”

Let us say what we believe.
