PREPARES
ALL PARISH BABY SHOWER
Thanks to those who gathered after last
week’s 11:00 Mass to offer help and RSVP for
our upcoming all Parish PREPARES Baby
Shower Sunday September 17 th 4:00, in St.
Joseph's parish Hall.
In order to have plenty of food, fun and prizes we hope to have
our guest list completed soon. Please call Parish Prepares Team
Co-ordination Pam Ames at (360) 592-5052 to attend, recommend
an honored guest (any woman of the Parish who is currently
expecting, or who has given birth or adopted a child in the last 12
months), or to help. To RSVP in Spanish please call Prepares
Volunteer Lupita Nava at (360) 354-0607.
With school starting soon, it just seems like the right time to be
shopping for kids. As you do, please remember the families that
will be helped by our Prepares Shower. In addition to diapers and
wipes for infants, new and like-new clothing, toys, books, puzzles
underwear and socks for up to age five are much appreciated. We
will be filling PREPARES Bags for young families in need
immediately following the Shower.

Employment opportunity
St Joseph Church in Lynden seeks an energetic, organized,
collaborative person to serve as a Pastoral Assistant for Faith
Formation and Sacramental Preparation for Pre-school
through high school students and RCIA. The successful
candidate will be active, practicing Catholic in good standing
in the church; undergraduate or graduate degree in theology
or related field; have recent successful experience in
catechesis; demonstrated ability to recruit, train and
supervise volunteers; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to
work nights and weekends. Spanish speaking is desirable but
not required. Salary depending on experience. Please submit

will be a meeting on September 7, 2017 at
7pm at St Joseph’s Lions Den.

St Peter Liturgical Ministers First, I would like to thank Gary Almy, who has been setting up the Liturgy Ministers Schedule for St. Peter's for many years. He has scheduled
through October this year and then I will be doing the scheduling. Let me know if you have any additions or changes that need to be done. I will be preparing the November schedule after I hear from all of you. There has been some talk about not having coffee hour on special days like Mother's Day.
