COMMUNITY PRAYER COMMUNITY PRAYER FOR VOCATIONSFOR VOCATIONS

GOD our Father, we entrust to you the young men and women of the world, with their problems, aspirations and hopes.

Look upon them with love and make them workers of peace and builders of a loving civilization. Let them not be drawn away by the things of this world, but let them open their hearts to your voice calling them.

Call them to follow Jesus, your Son. Let them feel capable of dedicating themselves, for their whole lives, “with undivided heart” to Christ, the Church and souls. Let them believe that grace gives them the strength to make this gift,

… and may they see the beauty and greatness of the priestly, religious and missionary life. Make them understand that to give one’s life for you and the whole humanity is worthwhile. Grant them generosity and readiness in reply.

Listen Lord, to our praise and our prayer also for the young people who, after the example of Mary, Mother of the Church, have believed in your word and are preparing for Holy Orders, profession of the evangelical counsels, and missionary work.

Help them understand that the call which you have made to them is ever real and urgent.

Amen.

O Mary, Mother of Vocations,

Pray for us.

Amen.
