while their knowledgeable guides

tour will take about an hour and a
half and along the way we will
enjoy about 10 bite-sized samples
from various areas of the market.
The tour begins at 10:00 a.m., but
we will plan to meet at Good
Shepherd at 9:00 a.m. to arrange
carpools out to the Fairfield
location. The tour cost per person
is $5.00 and you will receive a
$2.00 store gift certificate as well.

On Tuesday, September 10 ,
parishioner Bob Losekamp, Artistic
Director of the Audio/Visual Ministry
at Good Shepherd, will be offering a
free presentation on camera basics
and the best way to get the most from
your candid shots.
Bob will walk you through his journey
into photography and will present what he has learned
in his almost forty years as a member of the A/V
ministry here at Good Shepherd.
The presentation will cover how cameras work, what a
camera can see and what it can’t see. He will give
practical tips on taking good photographs and will do a
walk-around the camera gear he carries on photo
shoots. Most importantly he will cover the
Serendipity—something found, not sought—in
capturing photographs.
The presentation will help you to have a better
understanding on how a camera works, and hopefully,
help you take better photographs of kids, grandkids,
and just all-around better photographs.

Parishioner Terry Albright and the Computer Recycling
Team will once again provide an opportunity for
parishioners to learn the ins and outs of Windows 10.
This workshop is designed to familiarize the user with
Windows 10. It will address the similarities with
Windows 7 and will introduce some new features
designed to make it easier to use. The presentation will
include some of the new tools now available, as well as
point out some of the little known tools that were
available in Windows 7, but were never known by most
users. It will also introduce the new web browser,
“Edge.”
This workshop will be held on Monday,
September 16 with a morning and evening session
being offered.
There is no need to bring your laptop or any
device with you. There will be handouts and
supplements for all participants. Everyone
will be able to follow along by way of a
PowerPoint presentation.

will sit back and enjoy the musical
melodies of Ooh La La and the Greasers.
After 40 years of performing as one of Cincinnati’s
premier classic rock/old time rock and roll bands,
Ooh La La and the Greasers has scaled back and
provides a softer yet sophisticated blend of the old rock
and roll that made them famous, combined with a mix of
new and current hits.
Vocalists Brenda and Dan Hauser, join
with Rod Wright on keyboard and
vocals, and Jim Kelly on guitars,
harmonica, mandolin and vocals to
provide a full sound but at a level that
allows for socializing and conversation while they play.
On Thursday, August 22 at
11:30 a.m. we will hear a
presentation from Judy and Neville
Duffield about Charles Darwin’s
voyage aboard The Beagle.
In 1831 Charles Darwin left England on
his pivotal voyage aboard the sailing ship
The Beagle. Judy and Neville followed
the same path of his journey for six
months photographing some of what he
would have seen along this journey. They
focused on the birds, animals and flowers which
culminated in his work "The Origin of Species.”
Arrive at 11:30 a.m., find your name tag and a seat and
enjoy the presentation.

knowledge, charisma, and technology to deliver multi-media presentations on
topics that appeal to a diverse audience. His engaging style involves both
knowledge and humor whether he is talking about stars, planets, comets, or
black holes. His Tour of the Universe: You Are Here presentation utilizes some
amazing simulation software which guides you through the mind-boggling scale
of the universe.
