Ages 4-5 Join us for a season or register for the whole school year! We will spend Wednesday mornings adventuring and learning out on Wargo’s wooded peninsula, exploring different nature topics and seasonal changes along the way. In addition to guided activities, each week will include a free-explore time where participants will be encouraged to follow their senses and create their own adventure with new friends! This is a great hands-on experience for young children. Pre-registration is required. $110/session +tax

Wargo has homeschool programs for students in K-12th grade! Programs start in October and are held the third Thursday of the month through May. Each topic is created to be age appropriate and topics change each year. We pride ourselves in having staff who are experienced and well educated in the field of environmental learning. These topics may help you meet standards and fill in areas that require outdoor learning and science skills. Pre-registration is required. $5/child +tax

Ages 11+ Learn about ice, take a walk on the pond to measure the ice thickness, and then make your own luminary out of ice. Apply leaves, toys, twigs and other objects. Bring a large yogurt container, Ice cream bucket and a favorite small plastic animal or superhero from home, and we’ll show you what to do. A few ice globes will be provided. Take your luminary home to freeze. Sample pre made luminaries will be on hand. Extra materials will be available! Pre-registration required. $8/person +tax

Ages 14+ Join certified wildlife tracker Eric Vehe for a series on how to become a more competent wildlife tracker while also exploring the fascinating story of wildlife on the landscape in winter. Each session will include a brief introduction to a particular aspect of tracking. We will then explore the winter landscape at Wargo to apply these skills. Pre-registration required. Ages 16+ Join Certified Forest Therapy Guide Cinde Morris for an introduction and how-to in the Japanese art of Shinrin-yoku or forest bathing. This indoor how-to presentation will cover the benefits of forest bathing, how to set up your own location for it, and tips for forest bathing outside The presentation will be followed by a brief practice session outside (weather permitting) or sensory practice indoors.Pre-registration required. $15/person +tax

Each session is two hours long so you can enjoy a naturalist-led program for the first 45-minutes and then use the remaining time for your party. Ages 8+ Enjoy the beautiful ski trails or go off trail with snowshoes. You can choose to cross country ski or snowshoe under the light of a full moon.
