In an early childhood setting, there will always be a likelihood of disagreement in terms of viewpoints on how a child should be
educated or raised.
However, very often, out viewpoints maybe shaped by bias or unhealthy assumptions. Therefore, it is important to communicate
regularly and effectively to resolve any conflict in a manner that promote equality, inclusivity and diversity.
It is important to tackle issues heads on in order to avoid anyawkwardness or stress. Please click on the link below for the
ultimate plan to tack;=le any conflict: - https://raisingchildren.net.au/school-age/school-learning/working-with-
schools-teachers/problem-solving-for-parents-teachers
Speak in calm voice…. Discuss privately… Be clear and specific….
Identify all needs, wants and concerns…
Explore possible solutions… and evaluate based on advantages and disadvantages….
Pick best solution… and take action!
Assess –- What has
worked well?- What hasn’t
worked as well?- What could we
do differently to help solution work better?

Understanding your
child’s behaviour .
Recent research emphasises that the main cause ofchild’s misbehaviour is their NEED TO BELONG and TO FEEL SIGNIFICANT.
Any misunderstanding and inappropriate application of unreasonable behaviour regulation strategies lead to temper tantrum, volatile home environment and power struggle.
A good behaviour strategy is often the one that aligns with recent evolution. For example, punishment no longer teaches your child accountability as their everyday observations of world around contradict this strategy.

Thank you for viewing August 2019’s newsletter. This newsletter was based on the National Quality Standard
Elements. Each month, the educational leader will be developing a questionnaire and phone call survey to ensure each staff member is up to date on the quality practices to
ensure they are providing work in accordance to best interest of your child. Based on the specific national quality
standards, you will also be receiving information on how you can maintain quality care of your child too.
Please ensure you have completed the following surveys as sent to you in July 2019 –
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WVMP67V
This is a parent satisfaction survey to help us understand what changes we can make within our training program to better assist you. Once 50 % of responses are collected, the
educational leader will inform the staff of new changes.
