Our History

1946
Sten A Olsson bought his first vessel and started the shipping business started on a small scale.
1972
The business divided into Stena Line AB and Stena Metall AB.
1980 Stena’s Property arm developed.
1982
Stena Bulk, the tanker shipping company was founded.
1983
Northern Marine Management, a management company for non-Swedish flagged vessels was founded.
1986
Austen Maritime Services was established as a joint venture between Northern Marine Group and P & O Maritime.
2013
Austen Maritime Services becomes 100% owned by Northern Marine ultimately, the Stena Group

Who We AreEstablished in 1986, Austen Maritime Services is a proud subsidiary of the Northern Marine Group.
Northern Marine Group is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Stena AB, one of the largest family-owned companies in Sweden.

Ship AgencyTailored to meet your specific needs.
We act as your proxy and manage port health aspects, in-and-out vessel movements, port stays and intra-port movements.
• Full ship agency and husbandry services• Crew handling• Logistics and procurement• Booked marine services• Estimated Port Disbursement Account (EPDA)
Our team will take care of your bunkering needs at minimal turnaround time.
