Austria is an ideal tourist destination

Austria is a country privileged with history, traditions, beautiful places and activities that are distinct to the rest of Europe. As well as Switzerland, it is the winter sports capital of Europe. However, it is also popular for summer tourists to visit its historic cities and villages and hike in the impressive scenery of the Alps. Austria, one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations, attracts tourists all year long, and winter is almost as busy as summer in the spectacular mountain regions. Visitors are attracted as much for the scenic beauty of this Alpine country villages as they are for cosmopolitan cities like Vienna, the historic capital, and beautifulSalzburg, birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This introductory section provides a brief overview of Austria as a country with the perfect contrast of spectacular natural landscapes and modern urban areas, with unlimited offers.As was pointed out in the introduction to this paper Austria is the ideal hiking destination, with enchanting landscapes and a wide network of trails at varying altitudes and levels of difficulty. The Austrian Alps are Europe's major range of mountains, a considerable region of Austria is part of this mountain range, where skiing, snowboarding, hiking and cross-country skiing are popular activities. For example, Mount Grossglockner is Austria's highest peak featuring a spectacular glacier and a 50 km long panoramic road, which is easily accessible in summertime and offers spectacular views. Eisriesenwelten are the largest accessible ice caves in the world located in the Austrian Alps near Salzburg. Amazingly beautiful in any season, the Alps are a perfect for wildlife lovers, winter sports enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone who appreciates great hospitality, good food and the outdoor life.On the other hand, Austria is also well known for the majestic architecture and historic structures in cities like Vienna and Salzburg, just to name few, not only palaces and magnificent urban structures can be found, but also grand cathedrals, monasteries, etc.Vienna, the country's capital and most popular destination, is filled with Medieval and Baroque structures. For example, Schnbrunn Palace is the highlight of the city. Its zoo,Tiergarten Schnbrunn, is the oldest in the world. AlsoSalzburg, birthplace of Mozart, combines the Alpine surroundings with a beautifully preserved historic centre, as well as Innsbruck, in the centre ofTyrol. In addition, Tourists can also enjoy a mild climate and diverse landscapes in Burgenland which is refer to has the land of the sun. As discussed above this is an outstanding factor in the field of Tourism, especially in Europe. With respect to the cultural branch, along with nature and architecture, music plays a big role in the field of tourism in Austria, numerous visitors want to experience Austria's musical heritage. Salzburg and Vienna offer world famous opera, classical music, and high standard performances are also available throughout the rest of the country. There are many festivals during the whole year, the most famous being the Salzburger Festspiele. Austria's strong musical tradition is not imprisoned to classical music only; folk music is an important part of the rural region. Music is a tradition that Austrians keep and continue with great enthusiasm. No other country can claim an impressive history of major composers like Austria.In conclusion, all this factors make Austria a suitable destination for all kind of purposes; relaxing, holidays and adventures. Every destination claims to have a unique heritage, culture and landscape. As a result, the need for destinations to create a unique identity that will differentiate it is more critical now than ever. Austria has most of the factors required to meet the demands of a tourist destination, such as well-preserved environments, natural resources, a well-managed cultural landscape and much more. These natural wealth, in addition to a diverse cultural offering, the highest quality of life and safety as well as the best environmental situation give Austria a future as one of the top potential tourism sectors of the world.
