AutoCAD 3D Drawing Exercise – Drawing a Table Start by drawing the table plan using the dimensions on the illustration and inset detail below. All dimensions are in millimetres. The plan is composed of just nine rectangles, one for the table top and four each for the legs and rails. The table legs are 700mm deep, the rails are 100mm deep and the table top is 40mm deep. Tips You can transform the rectangles into solid components using the Pushpull tool. Once you have done this, you can move the various objects vertically into place. Remember to use layers! If you have time, have a go at drawing a vase or lamp on the table. The lamp on the right was created using Revolve for the vase and Loft for the shade. David Watson – January 2007
