THE BUSINESS CASE ENERGY SUSTAINABILITY
DATA MANAGEMENT
FOR MANY
BUSINESSES,
UTILITIES ARE COSTS
OF DOING BUSINESS,
YET THEY ARE
OFTEN THE MOST
UNDERMANAGED...
40%Of U.S. carbon dioxide emissions are from commercial buildings and industrial facilities
30%Of energy consumed in commercial and industrial facilities is wasted
● Shifting customer attitudes
● Increasing investor attention
● Current transparency programs
A new era of energy and sustainability management
isn’t just about using less resources or reducing costs;
it’s about minimizing your business’ exposure to risk,
understanding how new regulations will shape your
costs of doing business, and aligning all departments
around data and goals— to improve profitability and
stay competitive.
BUT THAT’S ABOUT TO CHANGE
AND FEW BUSINESS LEADERS HAVE THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO:
Determine whether their building is operating correctly
or efficiently
Establish and enforce policies that make the most sense for
their business
Know how theirbuildings compare to
similar buildings
Understand exactly what is driving their utility spend or the magnitude of their potential savings
Report on key sustainability related metrics with ease
Identify priorities within energy-related initiatives
