World Health Organization, road traffic injuries caused an estimated 1.25 million deaths worldwide in the year 2010.

India occupies 1st Position in ASIA.

In India, due to road accidents 1,37,000 have been killed in 2013 and 1,39,671 in 2014 and it is increasing on an average by 5% every year.

For every hour 16 deaths have been recorded and 382 deaths for every day.

Andhra Pradesh ranked the fifth highest in the total number of road accidents (43,482) with a share of 8.9 percent in the country.
