DESCRIPTIONCathodic protection systems by impressed current requiere a power rectifier that enables DC supply voltage.

We offer automatic rectifiers of different capacities: 25/25, 50/50, 75/75 y 100/100 or according to your needs.

OPERATIONThe rectifiers are set and monitored in the front panel, for automating output DC is necesary to install a permanent reference cell in the system.

G1 series models are characterized by 3 panels:

1 / FRONT PANELIt has measuring instruments, control knobs and the main switch.

2 / SIDE PANELIt has the taps (thin & thick) through which the operator can regulate the transformer’s voltage.

3 / CAP PANELThe automatic control module allows the autonomy of power regulation.

› The equipment has analog meters with 2% of error ranges from 30% above the nominal design capacity of the rectifier.› Ambient operating temperature 23°F to 140°F.

Automatic Rectifier has 3 modes of operation.

MODES OF OPERATION1 / MANUAL MODEThe system will provide the selected voltage in the output voltage taps.

2 / VOLTAGE MODEThis mode of operation allows precise adjustment of the output voltage from 0 to 100% through the cor-responding knob, control is open type and the output voltage is limited by the taps.

3 / POTENTIAL MODEThis mode of operation maintain the potential of CPS regulated, the structure of closed loop control measures the potential through a permanent reference cell to determine the margin of error and adjust the current output.

CARACTERÍSTICAS ELÉCTRICAS› Supply voltage AC 110/220 ± 10% a 60Hz.› The transformer has isolation “Class B”, manufactured with copper or aluminum windings, dry type. Designed with 35% above the nominal capacity of the rectifier. Parallel-serie connection in the primary.› Maximum operating temperature of 176°F with greater efficiency to 90%.› Full-wave rectification systems, single phase through 2 diodes and 2 silicon power SCRs mounted on the heat sink air cooled.› Limit output voltage controlled by taps (thick and thin) mounted on the panel.› Calibrated to 50mV mounted on the panel, its current capacity depends on the model.› Transient suppressor using MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistor).› Implementation of thermo-magnetic to protect the power line switch.› Using 250V fuse in the transformer secondary winding.

PERMANENT CELL FEATURESThe permanent reference cell is composed of Cu/CuSO4, it is a necessary electrode installed in the PCS to moni-tor the potential.

› The coating is ceramic material with a moisture retentive membrane, the composition of the electrode allows a minimum service period of 20 years, even in dry climates, potential measurements have good stability.

MECHANICAL FEATURES› Double door plate reinforced cabinet, structure specially designed to meet NEMA 3R norm. › Jumper rectifier connctions manufactured brass and bronze hardware.› The terminals of the power conductors are strongly pressed and tinned for maximum corrosion resistance.› Terminals for power-manufactured Al-Cu alloy.
