automatic t shirt folder[1]
TRANSCRIPT
Design ProcessWe chose to make a automatic t-shirt folder that
was simple and easy to use
We also thought that it needed to be light and portable so that it would be easy to take anywhere
Design Process Next we made a control box so that the wires wouldn’t be
in the way and we would be able to access them easily.
Materials Two Way Motors (3)
Tri-Fold (1)
12 Volt AC Power Supply(1)
Switches (3)
Wooden Dowels (3)
Plastic Box (1)
Electrical Wires
Wooden 36x.5 inch rods (3)
Small T-Shirt
Zip Ties
Duct Tape
Metal Poles (4)
Chopsticks (3)
Building Process First what we did was drill the switches into the plastic box
so we could have a organized area to put all the wires
Next we cut and taped our tri fold into 3 different sections for folding the t-shirt
Building ProcessNext we took 6 wooden rods ( 6 36x.5) and zip tied the wood together to build a platform to place the tri fold or automatic t-shirt folder on.
Building ProcessNext what we did was zip tied the 3 motors to the platform. 1
on the left and 1 on the right and on the middle.
Challenges and SolutionChallenges we had was the last part of the folding processes
to fold the t-shirt.
How we solved this was we changed the position of the tri-fold so that the wooden rod has more area of it pushing the cardboard
Challenges and SolutionsAnother challenge we had was getting our rod to stay on the motor.
How we solved this was by using a chopstick to stay on the motor and screwing it tightly together to the motor.
Modifications Our first idea we had was very inefficient. Because the way
we had in mind was to bulky and wouldn’t work because it wouldn’t be able to bring the sides back down.
What we did was cut the tri-fold differently and more efficiently and cut it smaller it so it was lighter.
