PROSPECTUS 2021-2022The College is run by Sadakathullah Appa Educational Society. The

Managing Committee of our College is committed to provide quality higher

education to all sections from society. The College offers Undergraduate,

Postgraduate and Research Programmes in Arts, Sciences and Commerce to

cater to the needs of its varied learners. Also, job-oriented Certificate,

Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses are being taught in the interest of

Rules for Admission:1. Admission is open to eligible students from all communities.

2. Application for admission should be made in the prescribed form which is available on

the College Website (www.sadakath.ac.in). The filled-in application must be submitted

online. Selection will be made on the basis of merit and other admission procedures

applicable to Minority Institutions.

3. Nativity Certificates (in case of students seeking admission from other States) should be

obtained from an Officer above the rank of Deputy Tahsildar bearing the Officer’s Seal.

Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University should be

produced at the time of admission.

4. All fees should be paid in full at the time of admission.

5. Fees once paid will not be refunded.

N.B. (a) Candidates applying for admission are directed to bring copies of their general

qualification and other certificates and get them attested by a responsible Officer before the

original certificates are submitted along with their applications. All the original certificates

and mark statement will be duly returned to the admitted candidates after verification.

(b) Candidates belonging to S.C., S.T., D.N.C., M.B.C. and B.C. communities are required

to submit the Community Certificate along with their application forms.

SWAYAM-NPTEL LOCAL CHAPTERThe Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, is promoting Digital

Learning with a motto, "Assess, Equity and Quality" to realize our country's digital

potential and the digital future.

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a digital

platform launched by MoE to offer Online Certification Courses in all disciplines

by the IITs and Indian Institute of Science.

Sadakathullah Appa College made a tie-up with IIT Chennai to offer

SWAYAM-NPTEL Online Certification Courses for faculty and students.

The Ministry of Education recognised the College as a SWAYAM-NPTEL

LOCAL CHAPTER (No.1917) and The Local Chapter was inaugurated at the College.

A two credit, eight-week SWAYAM-NPTEL Online Certification Course is

mandated for UG and PG students and it has been accommodated in the syllabus

framed by each Department.

About 1000 students and teachers have cleared NPTEL Online Certification

Courses in two years.

The College has been ranked at the Sixth Place at the National Level among

the SWAYAM-NPTEL LOCAL CHAPTERS functioning across the country.

The College has been rated by MoU as 'The Best Local Chapter'. Also, the

College has been recognised as 'A Valuable Local Chapter' with a rating of 'A'.

Dr. Shajun Nisha, Dean, The Centre for Digital Learning and SPOC,

SWAYAM-NPTEL, has received "Certificates of Appreciation" from MoE for her

instrumental role as Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

13 of our NPTEL Mentors have been recognised by MoU as 'Nationalised

Mentors' for their stellar performances.

84 students have received Silver Medal Certification and 4 students have

got Gold Medal Certification in the Online Examinations conducted by Indian

Institute of Technologies and Indian Institute of Science.
