Rural Arts ON Tour scheme brings professional, affordable and exciting performances to your doorstep, with a programme of theatre, music, dance and children’s shows in unique and intimate settings each year.

CREATE Tour is a project that runs alongside Rural Arts ON Tour, working with professional performance companies to bring exciting and diverse work to rural communities in Ryedale, Richmondshire and the Tees Valley districts.

Young people in each area have the opportunity to work alongside a professional company to create a ‘curtain raiser’ piece to take on tour and perform with the company in a range of venues including schools, village halls, arts centres and theatres.

If you’re a young person who’d like to take part, either as a performer, or a young promoter (promoting your local show), head to www.ruralarts.org/createtour for more information.

SUMMITFUEL

“We need to use our imagination. We need to imagine that change might be possible. That changeis possible, however hard or impossible it might seem.”

In a blend of languages, including fully integrated BSL, three performers tell a story from three perspectives. It is the story of an international meeting. A meeting called to respond to a crisis. A meeting at which something happened, and in that moment everything changed.

Exploring equality and inviting action, SUMMIT is the new playby renowned theatre-maker Andy Smith, writer-performer of The Preston Bill and Commonwealth.
