Autumn Term Governor Report DOLPHINS
This half term we have had a lot of changes. Pupils have
changed classes and new children have joined. Likewise, staff
have moved classes and new ones have joined. To their
credit, most children have managed this transition very well.
The current class consists of 8 boys and 3 girls.
Maths
In Maths, we have been learning about place
value, decimal value, rounding, 2D and 3D
shapes, measurements, multiplication and
arrays. We have used a number of practical
resources to help us with our learning.

In English, we have been looking at
Fantasy Stories, word families,
sentence structures and singular and
plural.
To strengthen this knowledge, we have
worked hard with Stile, Grammar Hammer
and spellings.

Science
During our Science lessons, we
have looked at electricity – mains
and battery. We have also looked
at what a complete and
incomplete circuit is.
We have just started looking at
animals, including humans, and
looking at types of nutrition.

Computing
In computing, the pupils have been
using the laptops and iPads to assist
their learning. We use Spellzone,
Topmarks and active learn weekly.

RE/PSHRE
During this half term, in RE we have been
learning about Buddhism and the life of
Buddha.
In PSHRE, we have been looking at personal
safety, online safety
and risk. We have also
been learning about
Black History Month
and identifying famous
black people.
Thrive
All the pupils enjoy our thrive sessions.
They like the creative activities
such as making models out of
play dough or designs using
different materials and colours.
The class have been taking part in some child yoga too.
Forest School
This half term, the class
have enjoyed their time in
the forest.
We have had fun being
treasure hunters and being
safe around a campfire.
