Pao Yue-kong Library – Media ServicesOnline Audiovisual Resources
To enhance better access to audiovisual materials for self-learning, research and teaching, the Library provides various online services to users, including video-on-demand (VOD) service, online audio libraries, image databases and self-learning resources. Off-campus Access – The online AV resources are available for all library users within the campus.
PolyU students, staff and registered external users of the Library may access these online resources remotely via the EZproxy server.
User Recommendations - Academic staff are welcome to recommend online AV materials, subject to copyright restrictions and Library’s funding condition.

Local TV Programs
Besides the physical DVDs, local TV programs of current affairs produced by ATV, RTHK and TVB are also available for online access. By the end of June 2017, over 12,500 TV programs are provided in the Library’s VOD website.
Educational VideosThe Library provides more than 290 educational videos relevant to the PolyU community. This collection include topics on Chinese writers, quality field practices, SAO lunch talk series, arts, fashion, business, health and safety.
Fashion ShowsOver 400 local and overseas fashion show videos are available for online viewing. They include fashion shows of overseas designers, Hong Kong Fashion Week, annual fashions shows of the University’s Institute of Textiles and Clothing as well as the School of Design.

Counseling and Therapy in Video: Volume II provides the largest and richest online collection of video for the study of social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counseling.
Rehabilitation Therapy in Video is the largest and richest streaming video resource ever assembled for the study of occupational therapy, physical/physiotherapy, and speech-language pathology.
Counseling and Therapy in Video: Volume IV is a multimedia collection that addresses the current best practices for counseling and therapy. Nursing Education in Video is a unique online collection of videos created specifically for the education and training of nurses, nursing assistants, and other healthcare workers.
Theatre in Video contains performances of the world’s leading plays and film documentaries on the subject of theatre.

Kanopy provides access to collections of online videos including award-winning documentaries, training films and theatrical releases on various subjects. To access the videos, you may simply click the link provided here, or just search “kanopy” in the OneSearch Discovery Platform.
