Funny that you say that. That is exactly what I am called by one of my sons! He is
always saying that I should always remember to be a good ambassador for his
company when I do my thing for the company! Avi is just that. Good post Scottyb.

Actually, she was not "so P.C." on another forum where she plainly expressed her opinions
on the matter. But, about a day later, she asked someone to take down her comments (edit
them, actually). I guess there were some discussions with the front office post-fact. But, at
least, I know that her opinions on this are pretty much along the same lines with most of us
here.

her comments on FREEKS were candid, open, honest-- NO FLAMES-
her retraction & correction were quick, simple, thorough & concise- NO DRAMA-
she did not flame D.M.-- merely stated the obvious without animus--
AS AMBASSADOR TO 2 BRANDS SHE IS HERE TO ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE-
she is straight forward and lacks duplicity-- sometimes you have to purge & cleanse to move
forward.

Keep one thing in mind, D.M. is the one who has designed all of those watches we have

Why this unfounded character assassination and crazy comparisons to someone who stole
billions from clients is allowed on this topic makes most of us wonder why. They never stole
any money from any clients and if you didn't get a full refund on anything you ever ordered
and didn't receive, it wasn't because it wasn't available to you.

It is a given fact that the best "SNAKES" are genuises going in the wrong direction!
I have no doubt that DM is very smart, but he did screw over numerous people,
howver not nearly as many as genius Madoff!

The only point here I am making is that without D.M. at the design table, there is no brand.
Or at least the one we all know.Discussing those other issue will surely get this thread
closed.

First there was Bat Girl now we have watch girl! What a treat! I know we can't mention the
brand until it passes in the house and senate but tell DM to keep the pricing in line with past
performance and they should fly out the door!

I'll admit that I have many faults... one of which is being overly opinionated. (Another one
being foot-in-mouth-itis.) I spoke far too openly, and I truthfully said things publicly which
aught to have been discussed privately. Still, what's done is done... so no sense in regret.
(The posts were removed out of respect-- not remorse). I met with MZ Berger and Daniel in
NYC following that post, and we discussed many things (including my very vocal
reservations). After having spent several days with Daniel and the entire new team, I truly
believe in what they are setting out to accomplish. (I would not have agreed to represent the
brand if I didn't.) This will undoubtedly prove to be a new era full of exciting developments
and opportunities. You'll see

Glad to see the brand return. I bought an all rosetone automatic piece when the Shop

I never intimated that any flaming, drama, or other negative opinions were expressed by

of us.

no offense intended Jason - i hope none taken-
read the flap on FREEKS-- AVI seems cool with it-- ScottyB just the self appointed
CERBERUS of Avi's thread-
guess AVI is just too honest to be P.C.--

At some point when that brand returns I assume the ban will be lifted? And seeing as that
brand is under new management now, and the NEW management didn't pass down the
FORMER (Current) edict?.... And seeing that the brand ambassador started the thread....

There is no animosity on either side... and it is a work in progress.

The past is the past. When all parties involved in the new venture come to an
agreement to move forward together, that is all that counts as far as I am
concerned. In today's climate, any new or reinvented business has my sopport in
being successful. New successful companies only help the economy. Each
particular company will stand tall on its merits, or will fall flat on its face if its
business model is deficient. The past history of that company is not my concern. All
the luck in the world to you Avi.I have no ----- watches in my collection. Maybe as
the new ambassador, you can change that!!!

I asked this openly and my thread was deleted. At least thus far, management here wants
NOTHING to do with the brand in question, regardless of whom represents them in public.
Its their sandbox.

You have that backwards. The brand in question demanded that the management here have
nothing to do with them. The Forum is just doing was requested. Hopefully the new owners
will get that fixed soon.

Avi
I am a big fan of the brand (at least what the brand was) I am fully aware of the past
controversies, so I look forward to the future and lets see how the relaunch goes and what
new models and policies come out. Obviously things have gone stale but one thing about
every watch from the brand in the past was that they were built VERY well, looked fantastic
and were SUPPOSEDLY exclusive- the last part didn't mean a lot to me, we are not talking
about Rolex here, but it obviously ruffled some feathers and many customers were lost. I
own 14 of them and look forward to adding to this total.

Good to see you posting here Avi, I always enjoyed the designs of this "certain brand" (some
of the business practices ... not so much). I'm very much looking forward to the shows and
hoping for some good prices. Will be interesting to see what discussions take place here in
the following weeks.
