ABOUT THE INSTITUTION:

Hindusthan Institute of Technology (HIT) is an Engineering college established

in the year 2007 by Hindustan educational and charitable Trust (HECT) , which was founded

in the year 1992. The trust functions under the able guidance and patronage of Shri

T.S.R.Kannaiyan, an educationalist, industrialist and philanthropist. The college is located in

malumichampatti, 15 kms away from Coimbatore on pollachi main road. The preliminary

objective of the institution is to educate and prepare men and women for leadership in

industry, government, and educational institutions; to advance the knowledge base of the

engineering professions; and to influence the future directions of engineering education and

practice. It is approved by AICTE, new deli and affiliated to Anna University of Technology,

Chennai. This institution offers 6 UG courses and 2 PG courses. The college as developed

excellent facilities and resources such as spacious class rooms, seminar halls, well-equipped

laboratories, work-shops, well-stocked libraries, dedicated high-speed broadband internet

connectivity and well qualified faculties.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Hindusthan Institute of Technology has a

tradition of offering a richly integrated curriculum of technical education and research to its

students, right from its inception in the year 2007. The department is commited to establish

itself as an excellent academic center through expert pedagogical methods and modern

laboratories to produce world class aeronautical engineers, to disseminate knowledge through

seminars, conferences, symposiums and continuing education programs. It is well equipped

with state of art of laboratories and infrastructural facilities. Our students have ample

opportunities to investigate and carryout experiments that is prescribed in their curriculum.

Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded and Industry

interaction has been constantly encouraged.
