• Representative Office in Warsaw.
Newest project of Avio Polska• Participation in design and manufacturing of the most
modern aircraft engine: GEnx-2B:– application: new long range aircraft: Boeing 747-8 (successor
of the „Jumbo”);
– 15% lower SFC,
– Ability to operate 30% longer with a 30% increase in parts’ life comparing to engines that Genx will replace (significant reduction of costs),
– Emmisions 95% below current limits,
• Avio Responsibility: design, prototype research and implementation of production of the GEnX 2B LPT Stator,
• In 2008 Avio Polska decided to invest almost 25 M Euro in years 2008 – 2011 to increase capacity to produce stator vanes for GEnX 2B and other new blades and vanes,
• On 28 of August 2009, Avio Polska signed the contract with Polish Agency for Enterpreneurship Development (on behalf of Polish Ministry of Economy) to support Avio initiative by the funds in amount of 9 M Euro.
Research – CFTTF Laboratory in Warsaw
• Joint initiative of representants of scientific-technological consorcium with participation of Avio Polska, WZL4 S.A. and polish schools (Warsaw University of Technology, Military Technical Academy),
• Global most modern laboratory dedicated to research and testing of aircraft engine turbine prototypes,
• Investment Value: approx. 45 M Euro. Project is open for new partners from industry and science.
