Return the brake lever to its normal position, confirm that the brakes are placed in the correct position and that the elevator cannot be moved using the wheel. 4. Return to the floor where you stopped the cabin; use the emergency key to open the external door; and start bringing the passen- gers out of the elevator, one by one, until everyone has exited. Third: Warning: Do not break the glass of the external door and use the opening to bring out those who are inside. Fourth: In case there is an emergency opening at the top part of the cabin, follow these steps: 1. Follow steps (1) and (2) above. 2. Stop the cabin until its top is at level with the tile of the floor outside; then use the emer- gency key to open the external door. 3. Stand on top of the cabin, open the emer- gency opening, and start evacuating the passengers one by one until they are all outside. Fifth: In case of an increase in speed or if one of the cables is cut off, the parachute device will be automatically deployed to stop the lift. In this situation, moving the elevator down- wards with the previous methods becomes difficult, so it must be moved upward instead until it is stopped in front of a floor. 1. Power outage 2. Blown fuse 3. Unstable door latch 4. Pressing the "STOP" button and then directly pressing a button to go to another floor; doing so repeatedly can cause system overload 5. Damage or breakage of the plastic lining in the cabin, contributing to its imbalance 6. The accumulation of dust in the control panel because of not locking the control room securely, especially when the weather condi- tions change Generally, one must immediately inform the maintenance company of any failure or trapped passengers inside the elevator, and ensure that there is an alarm bell and telephone inside the cabin and that they are functional. Safety instructions regarding elevators Accidents that could befall elevator users Accidents that could befall elevator users1. Observe all instructions written on the instruction label inside the elevator.2. Building guards (janitors) must learn how to manually operate the elevator and move it to the nearest floor, in case it stops for any reason. They must also learn how to open the emergency door.3. Control room doors should be shut tightly and there should be no windows or other open-ings, so that no dust can enter and affect the elevator's systems; and no one but mainte-nance technicians should be allowed to enter.4. If there are any strange or unusual sounds emanating from the elevator, like a scratching sound for example, while ascending or descending, or if the elevator vibrates, then it should no longer be used; the electricity should be shut off and the maintenance crew should be notified to investigate the problem.5. Periodic and preventive maintenance is of utmost importance and should be conducted monthly per elevator at the very least and a crew specializing in elevator maintenance should be employed for this task. It is preferred that the company who installed the elevator does this, as the original spare parts necessary for the elevators they install would be available to them.Elevators can result in major serious accidents if used incorrectly, or if safety meas-ures are not observed or are violated. The

following are some of the accidents that can occur:1. People getting trapped inside for a long period of time without others knowing they are there. This could be due to the absence of proper notification methods, like an alarm bell or an elevator telephone or the absence of the elevator operator who manages the elevator.2. The elevator door getting opened while it is in operation, which could cause very serious injuries; a person could stick his head out to see what is happening and this could cause injury and result in the head getting cut off.3. The clothing or one of the passengers' limbs could get trapped between the elevator and the shaft wall or between the elevator and the elevator cabin base if there is no interior door for the cabin. This violation of safety meas-ures can result in death or dismemberment; just as the absence of a light sensor can result in the elevator door slamming into one of the passengers, causing various injuries.4. Not having a partition on the elevator door or having a damaged one can contribute to passengers falling between the shaft walls and the cabin.5. During a rescue, the elevator could begin to move while those trapped inside are exiting the cabin, and this could cause dismember-ment (of limbs) and other injuries. Therefore, it is imperative for the rescuer(s) to cut off all power to the elevator before attempting a

rescue mission and to take necessary precau-tions that the power is not turned on again during the rescue. How to rescue a passenger trapped in an elevatorFirst: If the elevator has stopped directly in front of one of the floors or only slightly beneath it, adhere to the following:1. Cut all power to the elevator by switching off the main circuit breaker of the elevator.2. Use the emergency key to open the door; the key is usually found with the building's janitor or in the rescue room.3. Trapped passengers should be brought out, one by one, very calmly until all passengers have been rescued.4. Shut and lock the door using the emergency key, and confirm that it is shut to prevent people from falling down the elevator shaft if it was left open.5. Do not turn the electricity of the elevator back on; rather, keep it off and notify the main-tenance company so that they can do what is necessary to fix the problem.Second: If the elevator has stopped above a floor or between two floors, switch off the main circuit breaker of the elevator as mentioned above, then go to the control room and perform the following steps:1. Move the brake lever to release the brakes.2. Use the wheel to move the elevator easily upwards or downwards and bring it in front of
