Direction of rainfall

Direction of tile installation

1. Inspect the roof framework to ensure perpendicularity and leveling, as this will guarantee neat and attractive installation of roof tiles and ridges.

2. Consider the direction for roof tiling, so that the installation is in opposite direction to rainfall. This will prevent rainwater intrusion at the overlapping section on the tile sides.

20 cm

20 cm3. For securing tiles with self-drilling screws, secure 1 tile with 1 screw at the middle corrugation.

4. For Roman tiles, apply the corner cutting method with cutting distance equal to the overlapping distance, at 5 cm on the side and 20 cm along the length. The corner cutting should take into considera-tion from the direction of tile installation.

11. For installation of 3-head round ridge at the roof ridge area, first prepare the ridge supporting framework as illustrated, and secure with 4-inch hex head self-drilling screws, using 1 screw for each tile.

12. For the gable roof, start the tile installation from the mid-section of roof, on the triangle side towards the side, so to ensure that the tile corrugation around both sides of the hip rafter is a single corrugation.

13. For installation of curved hip ridge tile, follow the same steps for installation of 3-head round ridge (in 11) In order to ensure that the ridges are in full contact with the tiles, it is recommended to install the hip ridge tile together with the tiles around the hip ridges.

14. The tiles should be stored indoor and under roofing, or with protective cover in case of outdoor storage. Tiles should be stacked on flat, leveled ground that is dry and rigid. Place wooden plank of size 1.5 x 3 in to support underneath the tiles at both ends, at distance of 20 cm inward from the tile edge.**For Roman tiles, each tile stack should not have more than 140 sheets**

5. Install the first tile (1) so that the edge is 5 cm beyond the purlin, so that the edge section is downward corrugation that meets the inner side of bargeboard. This will ensure proper installation of the side ridges.

6.Secure the tiles with Diamond safety screws of length 3.5 in at the middle corrugation (it is recommended not to secure too tight, as the tile may be fractured)

7. For the second tile (2) with top right corner cut, place the tile to overlap the first tile (1) (The corner cut should take into consideration from the direction of tile installation) and then installing the next tiles until the completing the entire row.

8. Start the next row with the third tile (3) with the bottom left corner cut, place the tile to overlap the first tile (1) so that the cut corner of second tile (2) and third tile (3) join evenly. Also ensure overlapping distance of 20 cm along the length of tile.

9. For the fourth tile (4), cut the top right corner and bottom left corner, and install to overlap the second tile (2) and third tile (3). And then install the next tile by cutting the corner in the same manner.

10. For securing the barge end tile and verge tile, ensure that the barge end tile is in full contact with the tile corruga-tion. Secure the tile at 20 cm inward from the edge of tile.

Installation requires for cornercutting and linear tiling only!!!

Remark: Any installation without corner cutting or alternate tiling may increase the chance of easy tile fracture and resulting in water intrusion. The Company shall take no responsibility for any damage and problem arising from the installation, storage, and transportation or relocation in an incorrect manner.
