1  TB  isn’t  large  enough  for  EBS,  what  should  I  do?

We  got  you  covered!

Large  Storage:  16  TB  Storage  on  EC2

• Previously   • New  with  Larger  and  faster

RAID 0 aAach  sixteen  1  TB  volumes  to  the  EC2  instance  and  create  a  RAID  0  set  to  get  16TB  of  storage  and  an

aggregate  of  20,000  IOPS.  Coordinated  snapsho\ng  of  all  volumes  required

aAach  one  16  TB  PIOPS  volume,  with  20,000  IOPS  to  the  EC2  instance.  No  coordinated

snapsho\ng  required.

Managing  Snapshots:  5  TB  on  EBS  with  Remote  Region  copies

• Previously   • New  with  Larger  and  faster

RAID 0

When  taking  snapshot  of  mul7ple  volumes  there  are  a  lot  of  snapshots  that  need  to  be  managed.  Addi7onally,  the

snapshots  have  to  be  consistent

With  larger  and  faster  volumes  the  number  of  snapshots  that  need  to  be  managed  is  less.
