Axalta Learning Campus “How To” Access Guide

Introduction

Dear Learners,

Training needs and demands have grown significantly in recent years, and the emergence of social media (like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube), search engines (like Google) and communication technology (like the device you’re probably reading this on) have transformed the way people think about how to get and share information... including how to learn about things. To keep pace with changing customer demands and expectations - and to anticipate future trends - Axalta Refinish Training has launched the Axalta Learning Campus, a new way to access training content and track progress. The Learning Campus provides learners with the ability to personally register for traditional Training Center classes and eLearning. Future content will include ‘quick tip-type’ videos, webinars and more. The Learning Campus will allow learners to select the content that is most important to them so that they can improve their knowledge and be more productive... and the Learning Campus puts that capability right at their fingertips. This “How to Guide” can assist you in accessing the Learning Campus, creating your profile and registering for training events. The Axalta Learning Campus is open! Please take advantage of this powerful new opportunity!

Quick Access Guide

Use the steps below to register for Instructor Led Classes or eLearning Courses via the Axalta Learning Campus.

Note: Internet Explorer 11 or Google Chrome is recommended for optimal performance

1. Access the Training portion of Axalta’s website and click the “Axalta Learning Campus” link.

2. Enter your username & password. (If you don’t have a user name & password, click “Register for the Learning Campus” to create your profile.)

3. Select a brand from menu selections along the top of the page.

4. Click “Classroom Training” or “eLearning” under Categories.

5. Select the appropriate group to view specific class or course information.

6. Locate and click the middle gray bar with “Available Courses” section.

7. Available Instructor Led Classes and eLearning Courses will be displayed here. Make your selection and double click to register or launch.

8. For eLearning, after selecting and clicking “Launch” the module will begin in a new window.

• Use icons on the bottom of the screen to pause, forward or return to a previous slide.

• Module contents are listed on the left hand of the screen under the “Contents” tab.

• Any materials related to the module are available under the “Attachments” tab.

• When you have finished, close the window to return to the Learning Campus.

• The course will now be listed in your “Completed Courses” section.

9. For Instructor Led Training classes, held at a Learning & Development center, after making your selection, click “Pre-Register”

• Complete “Enrollment Request Form” • Required fields are noted with an asterisk (*) • You may elect to copy an Axalta Sales Representative or Distributor

on the class confirmation by entering their information in the spaces provided.

• Click “Enroll”

The following steps provide a comprehensive guide to access, register & locate Instructor Led Classes & eLearning Courses via the Axalta Learning Campus.

How to Access the Learning Campus and How to Create a Learner Profile

Step 1

Access www.axalta.us and click “Products & Services” along the top menu bar

Step 2

A gray sub-menu will appear. Select “Axalta Learning Campus” from the Training column located on the right-side of the page.


Step 3

Click on the “Axalta Learning Campus” link near the bottom-right of the page


Step 4

You are now at the sign in page for the Learning Campus. If you have already registered, or accessed the Learning campus enter your Username and Password and click the “Login” button.

New Users can click the “Register for the Learning Campus” link.


Step 5

A new user must complete all of the Required Fields in order to create their Learning Profile and receive access to the system. Click “Save” once all information is entered.


Step 6

Click the “here” link to log in using your newly created Username and Password. You will be able to log in immediately.


Step 7

You will be taken back to the initial sign on page. Enter your Username and Password and click “Login”


How to register for Instructor Led (Classroom Training)

Step 1

To locate an Instructor Led Class (Classroom Training) click on the desired brand.


Step 2

Select “Classroom Training” from the Categories box on the left-side of the screen.


Step 3

Classroom Training is organized by course name. Click on desired course for date and location information.


Step 4

After you click on desired course, you will need to access the “Available Courses” by selecting the middle, gray box located near the bottom of the page.


Step 5

Once you have selected “Available Courses” you will see all dates and locations for the class you have chosen listed. Number of available seats is listed under the “SEATS” column.


Step 6

To Pre-Register for a class, click on the desired session to expand the information. Click on the “Pre-Register” icon shown below. Course content information and travel information are contained on this screen.


Step 7

You will be required to enter information on the “Enrollment Request Form”. All fields with an asterisk (*) are required. If you’d like to copy your Axalta Sales or Distributor representative enter their email addresses in the spaces available. When all information is complete, click “Enroll”.


Step 8

Your status in the class is at the “Pre-Registration” stage pending administrator approval. When the registration is approved, you will receive an email with all travel and logistical details pertaining to that class. To remove yourself from the roster, click the “UN-REGISTER” button shown below.


Step 9

Click on “My Courses” at the top of the screen.


Step 10

An e in the Status column indicates you are pre-enrolled.


How to Register for eLearning

Step 1

To locate the eLearning series, select desired brand from the top navigation menu.


Step 2

Select “eLearning” from the Categories box on the left-side of the screen.


Step 3

eLearning Modules are grouped by Layer. Select a desired module by clicking on the name.


Step 4

Once a Group is selected. You will need to access the “Available Courses” by selecting the middle, gray box located near the bottom of the page.


Step 5

Once you have selected “Available Courses” you will see a list of all the applicable eLearning modules for the specified group. You will see a Course Name and duration. To launch a course double-click on the course title.


Step 6

You will be taken to a screen with detailed information about the module you have selected. To being your course, click the orange “Launch” button.

Note: The course material will open in a new browser window.


Step 7

The eLearning module will begin and advance on its own. The simple interface shows the “Contents” Section on the left-hand side. Content navigation controls are located underneath the presentation material. A user can pause, advance or return, control the volume, access help and toggle between full screen.


Step 8

Many eLearning modules contain Attachments that directly support the course material. These attachments can be PDF files, Excel tools or videos. You can access the tools via the “Attachments” tab next to “Content”.


Step 9

Most modules have interactive questions to check your understanding of the course material. Select the appropriate answers and click “Submit” to advance the course material.


Step 10

Once you have clicked “Submit” you will be given feedback about your answer. Select “Continue” to advance the course material.


Step 11

Once you have completed all of the course content and the questions, you can close out of the course material. And return to the Learning Campus.


Step 12

When you return to the course Launch screen you will now see an icon on the right-side of the page. This icon allows you to view and print you Certificate of Completion.


Step 13

The Certificate of Completion will download as a PDF file. You can view, save the file or print for your records.


Step 14

The Axalta Learning Campus will keep a record of your training activity. As you complete the eLearning Modules (and other training classes) you can view your Learning Profile at any time by clicking “My Courses” and viewing the “Completed Course” section.
