Please be advised that following areas require the immediate attention of competitors & Officials:

STEERING

We have had an unusually high incident rate so far this year of steering failures for various reasons. These include the following:

• Weld failure on steering wheel boss. • Spindle failure. • Cable failure. • Shearing of the bolt which secures the steering drum to the shaft. • Shackle pin coming undone. • Pulleys trapping the cable.

We cannot convey enough the seriousness of the above incidents and urge that all competitors thoroughly check all of your equipment as a matter of urgency before your next race.

JACK PLUGS

The RY A Scrutineers have informed us that there are a number of incidents that have seen jack plugs failing. Please immediately check your equipment and resolve any issues that you may have.

Although it is a not a rule, we urge you to consider fitting them for your own safety or the safety of any minors that you are responsible for. We STRONGLY recommend the use of an adequate seat.
