A Boy Called Charles
Marcus Ferreira
This book is about the life of a boy called Charles who during the most part of his life was an only son and had all the attention of the world and of his parents centered to him.
One day, he received the news from his parents that he would soon have a sister, because his mother was pregnant. At first, he was very happy with the news he had just received.
TThe next day, he went to the shopping whith his dad and bought a lot of things for his sister and he was very excited waiting for the day she would be born.
But when his sister was born, things changed dramatically for him and he became a sad boy. He had much envy of his sister, because THEIR parents gave all attention to her...
When his parents noticed his change of mood and behaviour, they explained to him that his sister was a just a little baby, very fragile and needed special care, because she wasn’t as strong, big and healthy as him. He thought about this for some time, but then he understood and accepted the situation, so he went on playing with his old friend Bob as he used to do before.
