Safety

EN Operating Manual – Dehumidifier TTK 400 2

Device descriptionThe device uses the principle of condensation to automatically dehumidify rooms. It can be used in continuous operation. The fan sucks in humid room air through the air inlet (2), the air filter (5), the evaporator and the condenser located behind it. The air is cooled at the cold evaporator until it is below the dew point. Water vapour contained in the room air precipitates on the evapo-rator fins as either condensation or rime. The dehumidified, cooled air is warmed again and blown out via the air outlet (8). The drier air thus conditioned mixes with the air in the room. The humidity in the room where the device is positioned is reduced as air con-stantly circulates through the device. Depending on the air tem-perature and the relative humidity, the condensed water either drops into the condensation tray continuously or only during the defrost phases. The condensate is fed through a pressure-resist-ant pipe connection and out of the device via the pre-assembled condensation drain hose (7).

The condensed water can be discharged using a retrofitted con-densate pump.

For easy operation and transport, the device is fitted with a mains switch (10), an operating hours counter (3), a bar handle (1) and wheels (4). Two rubber feet (6) prevent the device from rolling away.

The device can reduce the relative humidity of a room to approx. 35 %. Due to the heat radiation generated during operation, the room temperature may rise by approx. 1–3 °C.

• After being switched on, the device operates fully automatical-ly.

• Avoid open doors and windows.

PositioningWhen positioning the device, observe the minimum distance from walls and other objects specified in the chapter Technical data.

• Set the device up in a level and stable position.• When positioning the device, keep a sufficient distance to heat

sources.• If possible, set up the device in the middle of a room. When us-

ing several devices, make sure that the distance between them is the same.

• When positioning the device, particularly in wet areas, secure it locally with an RCD (residual current device) which complies with the respective regulations.

• Make sure that extension cables are completely unrolled.• Make sure that the power supply's voltage and current comply

with the specifications on the device's nameplate.• When using a generator, ensure that the generator supplies at

least 4 kW (The device's start-up current can exceed the nom-inal current by four or five times. Also note this fact when using several devices at one generator).

Notes regarding the dehumidification performanceThe dehumidification performance depends on:• the layout of the room• the room temperature• the relative humidity

The higher the room temperature and relative humidity, the greater the dehumidification performance. For operation in living rooms, a relative humidity of approx. 50–60 % is sufficient. In store rooms and archives, the humidity should not exceed approx. 50 %.
