Round Baby Bib

Diameter: 20cm/ 24cm = 8/ 9.5inches with a gauge of 16sc per 10cm/ 4inches

Materials: 30/ 35g Schachenmayr Cotton Linen (100m/ 50g)

3.5mm crochet hook

1 button

This baby bib is worked in one piece, so completely seamless. It's started in the center, worked in the round, then followed by the edging and last the strap.

Ch5, close to ring with sl st. Close each round with a sl st into 1st st.

Rd 1: 14sc into ring

Rd 2: in every sc: (dc, ch1) (= fourteen 1ch-spaces)

Rd 3: in every 1ch-space: (3dc-cluster [= *yo, draw loop through 1ch-space, yarn through first 2 loops on hook*, rep from * to * two more times, then yarn through all four remaining loops on hook], ch2)

Rd 4: 3sc in every 2ch-space

Page 2: Babador redon

Rd 5: ch2, skip 1, work a dc halfway (= yo, draw loop through sc, yarn through first 2loops on hook) in next sc, yarn through both loops on hook, ch2, *into same dc as last dc: work a dc halfway, skip one sc, in next sc: work a dc halfway, then yarn through all 3loops on hook, ch2*, rep from * to * all around

Rd 6: in every 2ch-space: 3sc

Rd 7 = Row 7: 51dc, leave last 12sc free, turn and ch3 for first dc

Row 8: 2dc in first dc and then 2dc in every 5th dc (= 62dc), turn and ch3 for first dc

Row 9: 1dc, 11times 2dc in every 5th dc, 6dc = 73dc

For a larger bib optionally add another row:

Row 10: 3dc, 2dc in every 6th dc = 85dc

Continue for edging and strap as shown in chart (follow red instructions for edging first, then blue ones for strap):

For the larger bib the edging is worked just the same. Only add 2sc on each side and 2shells.
