Nomembershipisrequiredforpersons18yearsandunder(onAugust31stofthisyear)enteringinJuniorclasses, orforpersonsenteringintheSeniorCitizensclass.Juniorsenteringinadultclassesmusthaveapaid membership.3. Hymers Fair Roadside Decoration Contestin celebration of the 101st Fall Fair

All residents and businesses are eligible to enter- CASH PRIZES -1st Prize - $100.002nd Prize - $75.003rd Prize - $50.00

Ages 12 and under: Junior Prize - $50.00

Rules: 1. Fair theme must be visible - “We’ve Got a Good Thing Growing”. 2. Display must have a sign saying “Hymers Fair - September 1-2, 2013” 3. Do not use any materials or procedures that will damage your property. 4. Decorations must be visible from the road and by the public. 5. By entering this competition you agree to have pictures of your property published on the Hymers Fair website, displays and advertising and in the local newspaper. 6. You must register with the Hymers Fair to be eligible for judging and prizes. 7. Decorations must remain in place until September 3rd. 8. All residents and businesses are eligible to enter - no entry fee or membership required! 9. Junior contestants must certify that the creation, design and work was performed by the applicant, who was 12 years or younger on August 31, 2013. 10. Entries must be accompanied by a photograph of the display.

Judging: 1. Starting the afternoon of Saturday, August 24th judging teams will begin to judge registered entries. 2. Judging will begin by selecting candidates to visit based on the submitted photographs. 3. Each judge will assign a score using the following criteria. The scores will be submitted to the Outdoor Decorating Committee for counting, and the final winner determined. 4. Decision of the judges is final.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria: l Complexity of design l Quality of the finished product l Visual impact l Appeal to multiple generations l Representation of the Fair theme “We’ve Got a Good Thing Growing” l Creativity
