ADDENDUM REPORT FOR :
# UKAS ACCREDITED SUBCONTRACTOR TESTING to EN 1836 :2005
RESISTANCE TO RADIATION (BATCH TESTED)Representative samples of all types of lenses supplied by Bluegem have been radiation resistance tested by aUKAS accredited laboratory to EN 1836 : 2005 clause 6.7 and EN 168 : 2001 clause 6.The samples were measured pre and post radiation resistance testing for the following:1. Change in luminous transmittance2. Change in scattered light coefficient3. UV spectral range requirements for Tv as described in table 1 of EN 'l836 : 2005All measurements following radiation testing indicated that the samples complied with the requirements inEN 1836 : 2005 clause 4.6. This batch testing is carried out on a regular basis to cover all types of lensessupplied by Bluegem.Details of the radiation resistance test and the pre / post measurements can be supplied upon request.
NTCKEL TESTTNG (BATCH TESTED)Representative samples of all types of frames supplied by Bluegem have been nickel release tested by aUKAS accredited laboratory according to EN 1836 : 2005 clause 5.5, which specifies a nickel release levelwhen tested to EN 181 1 and EN12472.Details of the nickel test and measurements can be supplied upon request.
OTHER TESTING REQUIREMENTS (NOT TO EN 1836: 2005)
TOXICITY TESTING (CADMIUM, ANTIMONY, ARSENIC, BARIUM, CHROMIUM, LEAD, MERCURY, SELENIUM)Sunglasses for children are sometimes required to be tested for toxic materials in frames / paints / lacquers. This would be in compliance with EEC directive 88/378/EEC and EN 71 part3Details of the toxicity tests and measurements can be supplied upon request.
PHTHALATE TESTINGSunglass frames for children are sometimes required to be tested for phthalate compounds present in plastics. This would be in compliance with EEC directive 2005/90/EC and EN 71 parts 9, 10 and 11.Details of the phthalate tests and measurements can be supplied upon request.
OTHER TESTSThese can generally be provided by Bluegem if specifically requested by a customer whichdiffer from standard tests - but extra costs will in incurred.Details of the testing and measurement facilities can be supplied upon request.
- UNCERTAINTY OF MEASUREMENTAll testing measurement is subject to uncertainty limits - these can affect the test result of a measurement. This is especially important if the test result is close to the measurement PASS / FAIL criteria. The uncertainty limits of Bluegem equipment and how they affect measurements can be supplied upon request.

ADDENDUM REPORT FOR :
# UKAS ACCREDITED SUBCONTRACTOR TESTING to EN 1836 : 2005
RESISTANCE TO RADIATION (BATCH TESTED)Representative samples of all types of lenses supplied by Bluegem have been radiation resistance tested by aUKAS accredited laboratory to EN 1836 : 2005 clause 6.7 and EN 168 : 2001 clause 6.The samples were measured pre and post radiation resistance testing for the following:1. Change in luminous transmittance2. Change in scattered light coefficient3. UV spectral range requirements for Tv as described in table 1 of EN 1836 : 2005All measurements following radiation testing indicated that the samples complied with the requirements inEN 1836 : 2005 clause 4.6.
OTHER TESTING REQUIREMENTS (NOT TO EN 1836:2005)
TOXICITY TESTING (CADMIUM, ANTIMONY, ARSENIC, BARIUM, CHROMIUM, LEAD, MERCURY, SELENIUM)Sunglasses for children are sometimes required to be tested for toxic materials in frames / paints / lacquers. This would be in compliance with EEC directive 88/378/EEC and EN 71 part 3Details of the toxicity tests and measurements can be supplied upon request.
PHTHALATE TESTINGSunglass frames for children are sometimes required to be tested for phthalate compounds present in plastics. This would be in compliance with EEC directive 2005/90/EC and EN 71 parts 9, 10 and 1 1 .Details of the phthalate tests and measurements can be supplied upon request.
